THANK YOU, VETERANS!

Ask us about preserving history.

We have had the honor and privilege of submitting multiple veterans’ stories.

Allow us to help you contribute to the lasting legacy by transcribing your stories.

“The Veterans History Project (VHP) is the first of several oral history projects that NCRF and NCRA members have supported through NCRF's expanded Oral Histories Program. Since 2003, NCRA members, who volunteer their services, have worked with NCRF and the Library of Congress to record and transcribe the moving stories of many U.S. war veterans.”

If you're a student or a working reporter who is interested in a QA session with a couple of people that work full-time primarily in remote CART, please shoot me a message or respond here with a comment. I've offered to host a webinar for a group at my court reporting alma mater, Argonaut/CAJ in Sacramento, looking at either this upcoming weekend or another weekend in the near future.

Josh Foley and I are hoping to find some people interested in the basics - what does a day in the life look of a working remote CART captioner look like? How do you transition from school or from the field of litigation reporting into CART? What does your screen look like at work? What can I do now to prepare for the future if this is a direction I hope to go in someday? How will I know if I'm ready to reach out to captioning firms?

We would host a Zoom session in the late morning/early afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday, and if you're interested, we'd love to know some dates that work well for you.
Any thoughts/reviews of this deal from Stenograph? Buy a new Luminex CSE for a one-time payment of $1,695 and get CATalyst Student software with support included FREE! I'm a former student looking to return. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I've been out for a long time. Thanks!

How often do you make yourself and your needs the priority? During this webinar, Dr. Cooper will introduce the topic of self-care, its importance to your overall well-being, ways to engage in self-care, and the repercussions of neglecting self-care.

Student Holly Koch’s son is helping to spread the word about court reporting.
Koch heard about court reporting from her aunt when she was in high school. She attended MacCormac College in Chicago until she got to the speed of 180 wpm. She then took a 7-year break to be home with children, but she didn’t want to give up the hard work. So she started again online and has been practicing on her own.
