Grow & Learn Child Care

As many of you may have heard, GLCC will be closing at the end of the month. It is bittersweet, but time to move on. I will be converting to a pet sitting business. I am planning a BBQ to bid farewell to the business on the 30th and would love to see any of the former GLCC kids & families for one last bash! I will be sending out an Evite. Hope to see you here!

We have an opening for a full day MWF space open once the school year starts! The enrollment is open to a child between the ages of 16 months and 5 years old or a special needs child between the ages of 2 years old and 5 years old. Please pass this on to anyone you know who might be looking for excellent child care! Thank you!

What a beautiful day! On the way to the playground Miss Heidi showed us a baby bird (robin) that she rescued and we got to touch it and watch her feed it! Pretty amazing way to start the week!Looking forward to Pool Day tomorrow!

Well here are the results! 4 out of 6 children LOVE freshly juiced carrot & apple juice, and 5 out of 6 love freshly juiced apples! Everyone loves chomping on carrots for snack after the fun process of watching the juicer work. Way to go for healthy snacking!

Looking forward to our first trip to the Farmer's Market tomorrow afternoon! Clients, please be sure that your child is wearing comfortable footwear and let me know if you will be joining us for the adventure! If you are picking up while we are there, just call me and I will meet you with the children or tell you where we are. Mr. Ian will be joining us for our jaunt!

One of our big new additions is putting our juicer to work. The kids are thinking of things that they would like to juice. We will also be taking our first afternoon trip to the Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoon barring rainy weather! (Please make sure you pick up and complete the revised field trip permission form for your child so that we can go. Thanks!)

Grow & Learn Child Care is excited to be offering infant care starting at 6 weeks through Preschool! We will be welcoming new staff tomorrow and are happy to have Mr. Ian back in the afternoons! Parents get ready for a fun month of March as we explore the theme Down by the Pond! We will be doing lots of fun, wet, and creative activities! Best of all we will get to talk about turtles! Curriculum will extend from the younger children all the way up to our rising Kindergartener. If you have pictures around your house of times when you took your child to a pond, please bring them in. I will be printing some of the photos from the old location with the kids by the Pond for a poster! Take care! Miss Jenny

Loving the beautiful weather today! Spending lots of time outdoors with our new friend Scarlett! The birds are singing and the daffodils are peeking up out of the ground. Gorgeous!

I am reading the book, "It's OK NOT to Share..." by Heather Shumaker and am looking forward to discussing some of the strategies and ideas in this book. I will also be encouraging discussion with current clients as I implement some new strategies. Feedback will be valuable as to how the techniques are working for you! Look for some discussion threads to begin soon!
