We need a full time school aged teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This teacher would assist in our preschool programs when FCPS schools are in session and then work with the school aged children when schools are out for the day! The shift would be from 10-6 daily. On days when FCPS is closed, this person would work all day with the school aged children.
Ideally we would like someone with some experience, but we also offer on the job training!
Common Ground is a wonderful place to work where we support our teachers.
Common Ground has several part-time closing shift teacher positions available. The regular hours are Monday through Friday from 3pm until 6 or 6:30pm.
This position assists the full time classrooms with closing duties and maintaining ratio in each classroom in the center. It's a great position to get classroom experience while in school!
Common Ground has the following openings, so please include your preference in your response:
- Infants and Toddlers: 3 openings

- School Aged Program: 2 openings

This teacher would be responsible for supporting the lead teacher in the mornings and then taking on the role of lead in the afternoons through closing. Although day to day operations are handled by the Director, Common Ground Child Care has an all volunteer Board of Trustees whose members are ultimately responsible for all aspects of the center. They're entrusted with making sure that management decisions are in the best interest of the centers staff and children and that the original ideals under which the center was founded are upheld.
