Students in the Education Explorer’s elementary “Spring into S.T.E.A.M.” class finished up their session with a bottle rocket project.
Materials included a one liter plastic bottle, a bike tube, a piece of PVC pipe and paper, markers and tape to make the rocket. After blowing through the PVC pipe into the bike tube attached to the bottle, the paper rocket was placed over the PVC pipe. Students jumped on the bottle and the rockets blasted to exciting heights.
Join next session for “Sporty S.T.E.M.” on Wednesday afternoons after school. Projects will include creating a LEGO zip-line, a basketball launcher and hoop, designing a parachute and more.
