ACTS Learning Center contracts with schools and families alike to provide diagnostic testing and educational interventions that strengthen weaknesses in a student's learning foundation. Processing skills and cognitive skills are strengthened through a variety of techniques. ACTS Learning Center also partners with school administrators to bring informative teacher and parent seminars to their school community.

Study Skills Program for Teachers, Academic Therapists, Tutors and Parents

Location: Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center (ASDEC)
Description :The workshop provides instruction in effective multi-sensory strategies necessary for academic success for all types of learners. These strategies include: time management, organization, strategies for taking notes, preparing for tests, memory training, vocabulary development, abstracting from text, webbing, and mastery of content subjects using techniques that significantly improve comprehension and memory. Workshop participants will receive ready-to-use study instruction tools so that they can begin to use these strategies immediately with their students.
To register, please send a check for $75 payable to ASDEC. Checks will be accepted until March 15. The fee for walk-in registration will be $90.
