Kyle Families: One week from today (Monday, August 12th) is our Back to School Night for grades 1-5. We will begin Back to School Night in the gym at 5:30 pm. The evening should conclude at 6:30 pm. Kona Ice will also be on site again for refreshments. We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing our Kyle Family!

Welcome to your child’s 5th grade year! I am looking forward to meeting everyone in a couple of weeks. Enjoy the last bit of summer!

Report cards will be mailed out next week to those who turned in an envelope. If you did not want it mailed you will be able to pick it up in the office next week. I shared an album with the kids yesterday containing all of the photos taken this year. I hope you enjoy looking through them! Happy Summer!!!

Day 2 was a lot better, but I am so happy to be back at Kyle tomorrow!

What a day! We were able to get into a computer lab so we had some work time. Class at the high school again tomorrow!

Tomorrow is our last Mighty Acorns trip for the year. We will leave after lunch. Please dress for the weather!

Students received two books this month, The Westing Game and From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, to make up for the one I missed in January.

Congratulations to Caitlyn for receiving first place on her artwork at the Art On the Lake awards ceremony last night!

5th grade parent meeting tonight at 5:30. Note and all call went out last week.

On Friday we visited Mrs. Mulchay’s first grade class to share Dr. Seuss books and complete some Dr. Seuss activities.

Today is a rescheduled Club Picture Day! Any clubs that have not had pictures will be taken today. I know MATH Bowl, Robotics Club and Writing Club will be taken today. There will also be a 5th grade picture taken. Please have your child bring club shirts and a 5th grade shirt or Kyle shirt.

Art class activity

Between missing a week of work due to illness and all of the elearning days, the end of January snuck up on me and I missed the deadline for the January book. March has two dollar book offers, so I’ll make up January then! For February the kids got The BFG!

So great to see some former Kyle students today and hear them play their instruments during our music classes!

For Families of Talent Show performers:
All Talent Show Performers will need to stay after school on Friday and have rehearsal immediately following school. Students may bring their items with them to school on Friday or parents can attend the rehearsal and bring any items needed. Students rehearsing Friday can remain at school for the Talent Show (performers must arrive at 6:00) or families may take them and bring them back by 6:00 after rehearsing.

Good morning! Days 7 and 8 for E-Learning are posted in google classroom and in our team drive. Day 7 is for today, January 29, and Day 8 is for Thursday, January 31. I will be available by email to answer any questions.

Today, January 28, 2019, is an E-learning day. The day 6 activity sheet and parent verification form have been posted in google classroom and in our team drive. I will be available by email with any questions. Students need to complete the PE assignment.

E-learning assignments have been posted in Google Classroom and shared in our Team Drive. Art and PE assignments need to be completed. I will be sending home the parent verification form tomorrow in case you can’t print it. I will be available by email today.
