Pomona High is enjoying one of the finest eras in it's history. Let's hear from Coach Eric Anderson re this year's team. They are doing great.

I moved to Pomona in 1961 and went to the old school on Holt ave. Was lucky enough to be in the first class to graduate from the new school in 1963. Very impressive school at that time and the students were well dressed and well behaved for the most part. Good looking school and good looking students. A credit to the American public school system and American students. I visited the school a few years back and the first thing i saw as I entered the school was a day care center. How sad. Then a top school official walked with me out on the grounds and said "look around Stan, this is our future. We're screwed!" The students were not well dressed and were not well behaved. I felt if they were an example of school students in this country they may as well close down all the schools. We need to hold our schools to a higher standard and we need to hold students to a higher standard. I'm glad I was with the first class and feel sorry for the students going to Pomona High School now.

I'm taking a chance at this school but I'm looking for a possible student that may have graduated in 1972. What are my chance of finding Andy Shelton. He attended Miller jr high with me in Pico Rivera
