✈️🌍 This week at PWP Summer Explorer Camp, we took a trip around the world—no passport required!
Our adventurers kicked things off with a visit to the Flight Museum, where they learned all about different types of aircraft, how planes fly, and even explored the history of aviation. 🛩️
Next stop: California Pizza Kitchen, where our students became junior chefs and learned how to make their very own pizzas—yum! 🍕👩🍳
Back on campus, we explored the cultures of Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Students created their own passports, tried new foods like yogurt and veggies from around the globe, and participated in hands-on activities that celebrated different cultures. 🌎🎨🍽️
We loved seeing their curiosity take flight this week!
✨ Stay tuned for next week’s theme: “What Floats Your Boat?” It’s going to be another week full of learning and adventure!

Our Pre-K students were hard at work today finishing up their pinch pots! 🧑🎨 Over the past two days, they’ve explored what clay is, how it’s made, and even looked at real pottery pieces for inspiration. Using their wrist motor skills, they each created their very own pinch pot masterpiece. We love watching creativity and learning come together! 💛🎨👐

🌸 Our Early Preschool class had a blooming good time during Wonder Time 2! 🌼
We explored all different kinds of flowers, then rolled up our sleeves to create our very own flower pots. The creativity was in full bloom as we discussed questions like:
🖐 “How are the textures of the materials different?”
🌺 “Is your flower petal big or small?”
🎨 “What colors are you using?”
We loved seeing each child express their ideas through art, color, and conversation. Watching their imaginations grow is just as beautiful as their flower pots! 💐✨

📚🦋✏️ Take a sneak peek into what our preschoolers learned today! 📚🦋✏️
In small group literacy, our preschoolers dove into the letter “G”! They explored words like “giraffe” and “guitar,” learning to write both uppercase and lowercase forms. 🖋️📝
Over in small group math, it was all about patterns and counting by 10s. They had a blast identifying and creating patterns together! 🔢
After reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” they discussed why the caterpillar grew and observed the fascinating food transformations each day. 🐛🍎 This led to recognizing different growth patterns in the story.
To wrap up, each student chose how much food their very own caterpillar ate and practiced writing the corresponding numbers. 🍏🔢

Our Older Infants are enjoying exploring the beautiful outdoors today! ☀️🍃
Outdoor exploration at an early age is vital to their growth—it helps develop motor skills, builds sensory awareness, and encourages curiosity about the world around them. Every step, touch, and discovery supports their cognitive and physical development in meaningful ways.

As part of the Primrose Schools Mud Pies® program, students learn about agriculture as they plant, grow and harvest nutritional fruits and vegetables in the Primrose Patch.
Understanding where our food comes from is an important part of our health, history and culture. Did you know pumpkins are native to North America and were first cultivated by Indigenous People, along with corn, beans, cranberries and various other foods? Indigenous People in the Americas are to thank for many of the foods we grow and enjoy today.
Share an emoji of your little one's favorite fruit or vegetable and how they like to enjoy it! 🌽🫘 🍽️

The holiday season often comes with a change in routine, which can be challenging for young children — and for the parents dealing with tantrums, sibling squabbles and more. To make the most of your family time this holiday season, check out the tips below.
❤️ Model self-regulation for your child
By modeling self-regulation when you feel frustrated, like verbalizing your emotions, you can help your child build that same skill in themselves.
✅ Set and reinforce expectations
Children do best when they understand what they can and cannot do. Ensure you are clear with what is being asked of them and look for moments to praise their positive behavior.

Gratitude is one of the many positive character traits that children learn in Primrose classrooms. See how you can help foster gratitude in your little one right at home:
🎁 Teach Gratitude Through Gift-Giving: Putting a reasonable limit on gift-giving during birthdays and holidays can help your child better understand the value of each present they receive.
🤗 Demonstrate Gratitude: Model this important trait for your little one by showing appreciation for others, always saying “please” and “thank you” and having a positive attitude.
🗣️Provide Prompts: Gently remind your child to say "Please" and "Thank you" to build this important habit.
❤️ Create a gratitude ritual: Have each family member share one thing they’re grateful for every evening before dinner, write “I Care” cards together, or volunteer as a family.
Save and share this post to help others develop an attitude of gratitude. Do you have any tips for teaching your little one about gratitude? Share them with us in the comments!
