We absolutely L❤️VE our Dodd community: families, teachers and staff, community partners, and most importantly our KIDS. When we all align to support our students, amazing things happen.
Thank you to our Sign Up Genius sponsors, Friends of Brookside Country Club, First Presbyterian Church, Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, The Slovak Society and Keller Williams of Allentown. Have a wonderful break and we will see you in 2021 ❤️🐾💙
wfmz.com Even through the pain there is joy in giving, joy in making sure more than 100 families in need will be able to celebrate Christmas.
It’s pajama day for everyone!! Stay comfy today on the winter solstice 🌙
We are organizing and preparing for next week’s pickup! 98 students will be getting presents to join Santa’s presents under the tree and 75 families will get a large bag of groceries. This is all thanks to our amazing community members who sponsored a Dodd student from our sign up genius earlier this month along with some long time and some new community partnerships.
In addition to holiday gifts provided by community members through the Sign Up Genius, Friends of Brookside Country Club provided over $2000 in gift cards and mounds of candy canes for the school to give out to families identified by the school who may need some extra holiday help. First Presbyterian Church knit hats for all 1st graders to ensure the holiday is warm and snuggly, The Slovak Society donated $2000 for winter holiday food bags, and Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church and Keller Williams of Allentown have supplemented food for families throughout the fall and winter holidays.
As always, the school has plenty of winter gear and jackets at door 4! As donations have come in, the school has been contacting families to come to the school to pick up bags and boxes. In total, 145 families will receive some sort of holiday cheer from the school this year. Kudos to our community. You are making a difference ❤️🐾💙
Isn’t this just the cutest?! 🎶❤️🐾💙🎶

Don’t want to play outside today after Morning Meeting, Lexia and Dreambox?! Maybe you can try with Mrs. Martinez/Mrs. Searock’s class did to celebrate the snow! “Oh the weather outside is frightful, but our work is so delightful. Since there's no place to go, LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW! We created snow people with a short biography and reviewed proper nouns.”
Due to the snow storm, ASD has officially called a Virtual Flex day for tomorrow, December 17th. This means the day will start off with a live Zoom session for morning meeting followed by Lexia and Dreambox. These two tasks will be completed on your own time and on a schedule that works for YOU ❄️💙 while still allowing time for playing in the snow ⛄️ .
Teachers have all posted plans for tomorrow and may continue to coordinate with parents to meet with individual students or a group of students for 1:1 and/or small group instruction. They will also communicate any catch up work you can complete during this flexible day. Additionally, the specialist website is featuring an optional scavenger hunt!
If you need help or assistance throughout the day, please send your child’s teacher a message through DOJO. Have a great night and be sure to spend some time playing in the snow tomorrow! Stay safe, Bulldogs 💙 🐾 ❤️
