“Watching everything that was happening to all facets of health care, I realized there's so much more to do in the industry than becoming a doctor. I realized I wanted to help improve the delivery system by leading doctors and caregivers rather than providing care,” Ngozi said. “To do that, I found a program at Pitt that allows me to get an MBA and a degree from the School of Public Health at the same time.”

With great sadness, we share the passing of Gershon Mandelker, the Katz Alumni Chair Professor Emeritus of Finance and Business Administration. He was a wonderful colleague, friend, and proud teacher and mentor to many MBA and PhD students throughout his 30+ years of service.

Mandelker touched the lives of many through his teaching and research. His research goal was to advance and test theories that explain the economic behavior of individuals, firms, and capital markets, and his work was published in numerous journals and books.

Funeral arrangement information is available here: https://bit.ly/3VuB0E7 Please join us in remembering him and extending our condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.
