“Watching everything that was happening to all facets of health care, I realized there's so much more to do in the industry than becoming a doctor. I realized I wanted to help improve the delivery system by leading doctors and caregivers rather than providing care,” Ngozi said. “To do that, I found a program at Pitt that allows me to get an MBA and a degree from the School of Public Health at the same time.”

With great sadness, we share the passing of Gershon Mandelker, the Katz Alumni Chair Professor Emeritus of Finance and Business Administration. He was a wonderful colleague, friend, and proud teacher and mentor to many MBA and PhD students throughout his 30+ years of service.
Mandelker touched the lives of many through his teaching and research. His research goal was to advance and test theories that explain the economic behavior of individuals, firms, and capital markets, and his work was published in numerous journals and books.

On April 23, the spring 2024 KPMG Cup was held as the finale of the Consulting Field Project course. The winning team worked with Armada and included (from left to right) Felix Feng (MBA '24), Emmy Ray (MS '24), Tingting Yu MS ’25), and Abhishek Kulshresta (MBA '25). The FedEx team finished second, and Kulshresta was awarded Best Presenter. We want to thank all of the clients, faculty advisors, and executive coaches for their hard work and collaboration with our students. Thanks for another great year of this engaging course!
Namita Mahajan (BSBA ’25), Cindy Le (A&S ’25), Dylan Kurian (A&S ’25), Christina Yi (SHRS ’25), Lauren Angus (A&S ’25), and Harper Segal (ENGR ’25) represented the University of Pittsburgh this spring at the Emory Global Health Institute’s 2024 Emory Morningside Global Health Case Competition. 30 schools from seven countries and six continents were tasked with creating comprehensive intervention solutions to India’s “twindemic” of tuberculosis and diabetes. The Pitt team was one of three teams comprised only of undergraduate students. The team finished second and claimed a $3,000 cash prize for their efforts. Congratulations all and Hail to Pitt!
