The McLean Lecture on World Law is the premier international lecture series at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Held annually since 1992, it brings eminent scholars and practitioners of international law to Pittsburgh to discuss important current issues. The McLean Lecture was created to honor the memory of Mac McLean, who was key to the creation of the World Federalist Association, both in Pittsburgh and globally. Mac was also a vibrant part of the Pittsburgh international community and was dedicated to the concept that the expansion of the rule of law and the creation of an international legal system was the only way to ensure lasting peace and justice for the world.
