We are also excited to announce a parent meeting on Friday August 5th from 5:00-6:30 PM. We will present "Holiday Has Heart" and we will share and discuss upcoming changes for our school. This will be an important and informative meeting and we will be offering limited child care on the campus. Contact the office and watch for more details.

While it is still officially summer time for students, we are working very hard to get ready for the exciting new school year. The official start date for students is August 9th. As we get closer to the start date we will post teacher lists and class lists.
We are excited to see all of the returning students as well as get to know all of the new students and staff.

The first week is almost over. A rough first week due to excessive heat warnings every day this week. Safety for students prevented recess time. Next week will be better. Thank you to staff and students working together. Oh the places you'll go !
After a few minutes, the students quietly walked back to classes to resume the journey if "Oh the places you'll go!" Thank you teachers and staff.
Third day of school. Routines include a practice fire drill. Teacher's calmly walked the students safely. All clear.

Smoke Alarm Installation
Phoenix Fire Department and volunteers install 182 new smoke detectors in the community. Thank you !
This is what a dedicated group of volunteers can do in a few hours on a Saturday morning to install smoke alarms. Thank you Phoenix Fire Department.
Phoenix Fire Department on a Saturday morning visiting the community to install FREE smoke alarms to make sure more families will be safe tonight. Thank you is hardly enough to say.
Another very successful event for the Phoenix Fire Department to organize and install 182 new smoke detectors in the community. The goal is to have every home in the Cartwright School District to have a working smoke detector.
