Guide to Freewriting Your Life Stories

Guide to Freewriting Your Life Stories

You’ve come through some incredibly hard things in your life. You survived a tough relationship. Now that you’re on the other side, how can you heal from you...

What is the story you would like to tell? When you change your stories—your beliefs about yourself, your past, and your present—you set the wheels in motion to change your life.

https://www.stacybrookman.com/writing-life/

I recently surveyed my email list and they responded like crazy. It's incredibly difficult to find a REAL solution to tough stories (i.e., tough relationships).

Challenges like:

--moving forward without looking back

--shame

--no resolution to damaged relationships

--mental blocks like "What will people think?"

--desire for closure

--fear... don't want to do the wrong thing

--doing it alone

--negative self-talk

--living in darkness, can't find the light

--getting him out of my head, why did he do this?

--getting past the hurt and trauma

--self-forgiveness

--anxiety, feeling stuck

--letting go of the illusion that was my relationship

And so many more challenges....

There is a solution! And you may not realize how simple the solution is.

It's writing those tough stories out in a way that YOU gain control over them!

Check it out the link in the bio for more info....

As a woman of faith, it can be a struggle to face trauma. Strong, negative feelings can make you feel like you’re failing to be grateful for the blessings in your life. Somewhere deep down, you know that God is always with you, perhaps you feel alone when going through hard times. What can you do? I’ve found that certain Bible verses can be very encouraging during dark times in my life.https://www.lifestorylaboratory.com/14bibleverses

Best Resources for Emotional Abuse Recovery and Resilience

If you’re watching this video, you’ve probably learned words like: emotional abuse, narcissist, sociopath, psychopathy, verbal abuse, gaslighting, and more. ...

Imagine being diagnosed with cancer, at the lowest point of your life, and feeling the pain and sting of the treatments for years to come. Imagine, though, that only five years later, you’d found a way to channel that feeling into discovering your purpose.

That’s exactly what one woman did. Barb Demorest stood at the doctor’s office one day, pouring out her heart, when he gave her a suggestion that would change her life. His expertise and experience, combined with her interests and life story, created an intersection that led to innovation in her life. That precise moment is called the Medici Effect — and it’s the reason why if your life is a train wreck right now, that’s ok. https://www.stacybrookman.com/life-train-wreck-thats-perfectly-fine/

Have you ever heard someone say that you have to be a great writer in order to write? Well, spoiler alert: that’s ridiculous! There’s a saying in writing circles: writers write. And, like any other skill, it takes practice. Even the best writers earned that title through repeated practice: C.S. Lewis, Hemingway, Jane Austen, Shakespeare! Everything you write teaches you more about being a better writer. In my work teaching writing, I’ve come across five major myths about writing--in fact, about life storytelling in particular. Because knowledge is power, I want to share these myths with you and expose them as fiction so that they can’t hold you back any longer. https://www.lifestorylaboratory.com/5myths
