Erik Yost - Business Management
Erik Yost, a 2023 GCU graduate, now works as a Program Manager for MIT's Quantum Photonics and AI Group, leading a team of 50+ scientists in nano optics, AI, quantum optics, and computing breakthroughs. At GCU, he founded the STELLAR Research Program to collaborate with NASA and SpaceX. His journey has been shaped by a passion for innovation and a commitment to impactful, humanitarian research. If Erik could give advice to current GCU students, he would tell them “Stay curious, be proactive and keep pushing your boundaries. Your hard work and dedication will pay off. Most importantly, trust that the Lord will lead and guide you!”
Jorge Romero - Secondary Education and Educational Administration
Jorge graduated from GCU in 2019 with a B.S. in Secondary Education and again in 2022 with a Master's in Educational Administration. He is currently a middle school PE Teacher and Athletic Director at William C. Jack School in Glendale, and he coaches football at Moon Valley High and softball at Independence High. Jorge shares, “As a leader, I aim to inspire youth to become their best selves by modeling confidence, compassion, and a strong work ethic, encouraging them to believe in their strengths and set higher goals.”
Taylor Browne - Communication and Leadership
Taylor graduated from GCU with a B.A. in Communication in 2018 and an M.S. in Leadership in 2020. Now, Taylor is the Director of Business Development at AvAir, and she is proud to be part of a global leader in the aviation aftermarket. With over 26 million in-stock components and an unwavering commitment to customer service, she is helping airlines and MROs stay operational and efficient, no matter the challenge. From managing key airline accounts to fostering meaningful relationships, every step of her journey has been driven by a passion for aviation and a dedication to excellence.

Slate Herman - Business Administration
Slate Herman graduated from GCU in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Business Intelligence. He now serves as counsel for the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. One of his proudest moments was helping pass H.R. 7521, the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. After months of hard work, seeing it signed into law by the President was unforgettable. Slate feels honored to play a role in shaping policies that benefit the American people.
Andrew Finley - Marketing
Andrew Finley graduated from GCU in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and is now building his career as a Strategic Marketing Manager at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Driven by a passion for growth, Andrew develops global marketing strategies and collaborates across the offshore industry. His advice to current GCU students: “Focus on learning both in class and through experiences that develop social and professional skills. Get involved in industry-related clubs, seek internships, and find mentors to guide your journey.”
