A little baseball history: 83 years ago today, the first televised broadcast of baseball aired on TV! On August 26th, 1939, the Brooklyn Dodgers took on the Cincinnati Reds in a doubleheader. The game was called by Red Barber, who operated with no monitors and just one camera on the action.

Meet Coach Parker Markel!

Coach Parker is in his first year with 9r Baseball bringing his experience from the minor league and MLB levels. He has been involved in our youth camps, clinics, and private instruction.

Coach Parker attended Yavapai College in Prescott and has spent the last thirteen seasons playing minor league baseball, reaching the major level twice with the Pirates and Mariners. He is currently a free agent finishing last season with the San Diego Padres.

Meet coach Julian 'Tike' Redman

Coach Tike joined the 9r Baseball staff in the winter of 2022 bringing a resume that spans the minor league and major level. He will be involved in many of our youth camps, clinics and private instruction.

Coach Tike was drafted out of high school in 1996 and played professional baseball for seventeen years. He played at the highest level with the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Meet Coach Isaac Wenrich - Catching & Hitting Instructor

Coach Isaac is in his first year with 9r Baseball and has quickly become one of our most popular instructors with his enthusiasm and energy for the game. He has been involved in many of our youth camps, clinics, and private instruction.

Coach Isaac attended Franklin Pierce University and spent six seasons playing independent minor league baseball. He is currently in the Red organization with the goal of becoming an MLB bullpen catcher.

His coaching credentials include:
