We take time to honor and remember the brave heroes who made the greatest sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸 Our institution recognizes the valor, courage, and selfless individuals who took it upon themselves to embody the values of a Warrior.

As we commemorate our heritage of serving tribal communities we recognize true warriors like the Navajo Code Talkers who fought in WW2 and many of their stories which go unheard.

As we take time to pray, reflect, and remember our heroes, take time for education in the stories and testimonies of those like the Code Talkers.

This past week our campus partnered with Global Center for Women & Justice at Vanguard University to host the Ensure Justice Conference — Tribal Nations, an anti-human trafficking conference to bring prevention through awareness and education.

This weekend we had various people join in-person and online to listen to our keynote speakers from Vanguard University’s Ant-Human Trafficking faculty, Former First Lady of the Navajo Nation, Phefelia Nez, and our very own Professor Blair Schlepp. We also thank Student Life Director, Matthew Holgate, for building this program and coordinating this conference!

We are committed to this fight against human trafficking and are excited to see what God does through our school to fight this issue. We thank everyone that participated and appreciate the work we have been able to contribute to the knowledge and insight of this topic. We hope that all students understand that this is a place of Justice where will fight for what is right and show love to the world.

Thank you Dr. Sandie Morgan, Director of the Global Center for Women and Justice, for this partnership.

What an INCREDIBLE Commencement service that was held on SAGU AIC’s campus this afternoon! Thank you to all those who hosted this event to celebrate our graduates!

Thank you Harley Upton & Gabriela “Imán” Cota for your remarkable speeches!

Thank you Pastor Jeff Peterson ( Director of Pastoral Care) for being our keynote speaker and bringing such a timely message!

Such a great time, worshiping, celebrating, crying, and laughing together as one body of Warriors!

Today is graduation day! 🎉🎓

Meet Gabriela “Imán” Cota, who is graduating today with her BA in Church Leadership! She will also be one of our student speakers at commencement! We asked Imán a few questions about her journey here at SAGU AIC, read a little more about why she inspired us below ⬇️

What made you choose AIC?

The legacy of my family and the character of AIC is why I chose to come here!

Why did you major in church leadership?

I have a heart for service and knew that a church leadership degree would give me the tools I’d need for success.

What are your next steps?

I plan to continue my education at SAGU by pursuing a Masters in Organizational Leadership.

What is one of your favorite memories?

Playing Uno with my friends instead of doing schoolwork is one of my favorite memories!

Why should others choose AIC?

If you’re looking for professors who care, staff that know you by name, and an atmosphere of service, then AIC is the place for you!

Congrats Imán!
