During Wonder Time, our infants explored the beauty of flowers! They observed different characteristics, matched similar flower photos, painted pictures of flowers and even sang a fun song about flowers. 🌼🎶 Hands-on learning like this helps build observation skills, pattern recognition, and a love for nature!

Our toddlers had so much fun during their Enrichment Art activity! They explored different ways to paint using various-sized brushes and even their fingers. 🖌️🖐️

Not only did they create beautiful artwork, but they also strengthened important fine motor skills like:
✋ Grip control and hand strength
🖌️ Hand-eye coordination
🎨 Finger dexterity for future writing skills

Yesterday, our school held the annual Professional Development Day Training. We worked together with our sister schools, to not only grow ourselves individually but to grow as educators, so that we can ensure we are setting our students for the upmost success.

Presidents’ Day is a great opportunity to teach children leadership skills. Our school will be closed for this holiday, while our dedicated staff and teachers will be spending the day enhancing their skills through our Professional Development Day. ✨

✨🔦 Shadow fun in Wondertime 1! 🔦✨

Our Early Preschoolers had a blast exploring light and shadows using a flashlight! They watched as their movements created different shapes on the wall, sparking curiosity and excitement. Hands-on learning experiences like this help develop creativity and critical thinking skills while making learning fun!

Character development is a part of daily activities in Primrose schools. Teachers use the Primrose Friends to teach traits like bravery, kindness and fairness through stories and play. Students also learn about important figures including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., read books in his honor, make bravery badges and discuss courage. 🌟📚 Share this post to join us in spreading the message of courage and kindness!

Primrose schools across the country collected over 385,000 canned goods and raised more than $58,000 for those in need during this year's Food Drive! ❤️​

The joy of giving is reflected in our Primrose Promise Giving Events, where students, families, teachers, staff, Franchise Owners and Support Team members make a positive difference their communities through service projects. ​

​As a part of our annual Food Drive, we participated in the 11Alive Can-A-Thon by donating more than 21,000 cans to the The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta. We are so proud of everybody who gave without expectation and supported those in need this holiday season!

As part of the Primrose Schools Mud Pies® program, students learn about agriculture as they plant, grow and harvest nutritional fruits and vegetables in the Primrose Patch. ​

​Understanding where our food comes from is an important part of our health, history and culture. Did you know pumpkins are native to North America and were first cultivated by Indigenous People, along with corn, beans, cranberries and various other foods? Indigenous People in the Americas are to thank for many of the foods we grow and enjoy today. ​

By modeling self-regulation when you feel frustrated, like verbalizing your emotions, you can help your child build that same skill in themselves. ​

✅ Set and reinforce expectations ​
Children do best when they understand what they can and cannot do. Ensure you are clear with what is being asked of them and look for moments to praise their positive behavior. ​

Gratitude is one of the many positive character traits that children learn in Primrose classrooms. See how you can help foster gratitude in your little one right at home:​

​🎁 Teach Gratitude Through Gift-Giving: Putting a reasonable limit on gift-giving during birthdays and holidays can help your child better understand the value of each present they receive.​

​🤗 Demonstrate Gratitude: Model this important trait for your little one by showing appreciation for others, always saying “please” and “thank you” and having a positive attitude.​

​🗣️Provide Prompts: Gently remind your child to say "Please"​ and "Thank you" to build this important habit.​

​❤️ Create a gratitude ritual: Have each family member share one thing they’re grateful for every evening before dinner, write “I Care” cards together, or volunteer as a family.​
