Germs on the Move: Learning at Home Activity

What your child will learn:
By doing this activity together, your child will learn (and see) that germs spread easily, using our eyes, noses, mouths, and hands to move from person-to-person. Your child will learn why hand-washing, coughing into elbows, and using tissues are important healthy habits.

Activity tip:
Ask your child to identify the different parts of the body that spread germs (eyes, nose, mouth, and hands) by pointing to their own bodies. Make this an activity or a game you play together!

Hey friends! It's Olly Pop again, back with a few more important health and safety tips. Did you know? Through hand-washing and proper sneezing techniques, we can prevent lots of germs from spreading!

We were (mostly) all smiles today at picture day! Thank you so much to Lifetouch for taking such great pictures of everyone! The proofs are already printed out and are in every child's basket in their classroom. Happy Friday!

Hi! I’m Olly Pop, Bright Horizons resident Health and Safety Superhero. Like any superhero, my days are filled with adventure, visiting classrooms around the country and teaching children how to stay safe and healthy! In my latest adventure, I’ve been demonstrating how to properly wash those hands of ours…where germs are known to hang out.

Be on the lookout to see where my next adventure takes me! And if you do spot me in a classroom near you, let me hear about it by using #OllyPop. Until next time…
