The first step to becoming a Terramar Watch D.O.G.S. is to complete the Deer Valley Volunteer Training. The next training will be held at Terramar - in the media center on Monday, August 22 from 7:30am to 8:30am.
No need to sign-up - just show up. This is the same training that is required to be able to chaperone field trips or assist in other ways on campus.

It's a beautiful morning to grab a rake and come to Terramar. We are making the playgrounds safer. See you at 7!
Looking for a handful of people to help this Saturday morning at 7am.
The wood chips on the playground get compacted, and they really need to be raked and fluffed and then evened out. In all fall zones it's supposed to be at least 6 inches of cushion. With all of the kids on the playground it really gets compacted.
If your are able to invest about 45 mins this Saturday to assist with this project - let me know.

We asked a group of fourth graders to provide their thoughts on Terramar’s Watch D.O.G.S. program. Their responses spoke volumes for the benefits of this program. Below are just a few of the highlights:
“I liked it when the watch dogs were on campus because I felt protected.”
“The watch dogs are very good at protecting and watching the school.”
“They are nice and funny.”
“It’s not just moms helping students / teachers.”
“I think that the watch dogs were good help. Like on my report he helped me with facts on hurricanes because he was in one. They let us play football. I would like the watch dogs to be here next year.”
“Our dads get to come to school with us.”
The list goes on and on. Bottom line – the Terramar Watch D.O.G.S. are making a difference on campus. As we look forward to the month of October, there is only ONE day with a Watch D.O.G.S. on campus. We need you to sign up! Would you please consider volunteering for one day in October? If you are unable to commit to a full day – would you consider half a day?

First responders making the Valley proud! They lined up this morning to show their support for Kody & Kaylee Murphy as they began a new school year. Their father, Phoenix PD Ofc. Travis Murphy, was killed in the line of duty back in 2010. This group vowed to be there for his children as they grew up. They have fulfilled that promise each year.
