Some ideas to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week (while social distancing)

Monday-May the 4th Be With You:
Draw/Color a character from Star Wars that reminded you of your teacher.

Tuesday-Cinco de Mayo, Nacho Your Average Teacher:
Write a paragraph about what makes your teacher "Nacho" (Not your) Average Teacher. Little ones can color or draw their teacher wearing a sombrero.

Wednesday-Teachers are the sweetest: Draw picture of a sweet treat you would like to share with your teacher or share your favorite sweet treat recipe with your teacher.

Thursday-Stop and smell the flowers: Take a picture of some flowers and send them to your teacher. Can't take a picture that's okay, draw them a picture of your favorite type of flower.

Friday-You're AMAZING: Send a video or picture you drew telling your teacher why you think they're AMAZING or email them an AMAZon gift card.

AzSCI, Arizona's statewide achievement test for Science is administered to students in grades 5th, 8th, and 11th.

This state assessment is scheduled for March 27-29th.

Brighton Junior High Basketball
Congratulations to our boys junior high basketball team on being undefeated this year!

They are the number one seed in the league and will be playing in the semi-finals today at 4:45 at Academia Del Pueblo(ADP) located at 201 E Durango St in Phoenix.

If they win the, the finals will be played at ADP at 6:00 on Thursday!

We are excited for our annual Paper Airplane Day!

When: Friday, January 13th, 2023
Where: Brighton Gym

Schedule:
K-1-2 8:10-9:00am
3-4-5 9:10-10:00am
6-7-8 10:10-11:00am
High School 11:10-12:00pm

Friday is a half day. Students will be released at 12:00pm. There will be no afterschool.

Please make sure your student comes to school on time, as each class is given 15 minutes to complete all stations. The schedule will begin promptly so that all classes have the opportunity to participate.

There will be 4 stations, classes will be divided in half and will rotate to every station.

Parents are welcome to attend - please check the schedule to make sure you know when your child will be participating.
