We "dough" not know what we will do without our kiddos next week, but we are glad that we could send them off with a smile after today's Play-Doh lab.

🤓🧠 Continuous Improvement of Student Learning 🧠🤓
Our district is excited to welcome new team members and start working towards our ambitious district goals for improvement in all areas. We are fortunate that some of the best teachers in New Jersey choose to call Riverside Township School District their home. Their genuine love for the community and for teaching makes them natural teacher leaders, and as a result of those qualities, the teachers and administrators are constantly collaborating to facilitate continuous improvement of student learning. This happens through cycles of meetings to continually reflect on, evaluate, and revise (as needed) our resources, approaches, and strategies.
For our team to continue to do this effectively, we will examine our curriculum frameworks, implement them, assess their effectiveness, and revise them as needed. The process will be ongoing, constant, and fluid and will hopefully lead to improvement not only in student engagement and investment but also in growth and achievement.
🚨 Important Survey Information 🚨
As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, we are excited about the traditions and culture that have always made Riverside . However, we are also excited to bring on new staff, programs, and resources to do even more for our students. Staff and administration have been working together to plan various programs for our students and are constantly checking that we meet their needs. In order to gather feedback on these efforts anonymously, we are partnering with an external organization, TESO (Teach Educators & Scholars Organization, LLC), surveying all staff, students, and parents to better understand how well we are fully and equitably meeting the needs of the Riverside community.
As the first and most important teacher and advocate for your children, you can provide invaluable feedback and insight in that area, and we thank you in advance for your honest input on this survey. Our ultimate goal is to provide opportunities and access to all students and create an environment where every member of the school community feels like they belong and have what they need to succeed. That goal cannot be achieved without collecting feedback on our current efforts.
Therefore, in order to facilitate an in-depth “landscape analysis” of the full educational program, the survey will focus on four priority areas: 1) student learning experiences, 2) professional learning, 3) policies, and 4) resource allocation.
We ask that you please take 15-20 minutes to complete the Landscape Analysis Survey. The information we learn from your survey (along with others) will inform the development of a district plan to guide efforts to create a more equitable environment for all students to succeed. Please note that your participation is voluntary, and your responses are anonymous and confidential. Because we are not asking for your name, you can be completely honest in how you answer the questions. Your online survey submission means that you agree to participate in this process.
Please complete the survey by September 2, 2022, to ensure that your input is included in the data collection and analysis process for future planning.
You can find the survey links in the emails that were sent to you on Monday, August 22nd, and Tuesday, August 23rd.
If you have any questions, please contact our Curriculum Director, Stacy Saia, at [email protected]

🎉🎊Our RTSD just got a new member.🎉🎊
Please join us in welcoming Jacqueline Edmonds, our new RHS Assistant Principal, and Director of Student Activities.
A quote from Booker T. Washington is the mantra that drives this new addition to our - "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which she has overcome while trying to succeed"
Ms. Edmonds has been a dedicated educational professional for 13 years. Before entering into administration, Ms. Edmonds served as an English teacher for Willingboro and Camden City Public Schools. Ms. Edmonds has been the Assistant Principal for Woodbury Public Schools for the past two years. Ms. Edmonds is eager to join our administrative team to enhance our restorative justice practices, integrate social-emotional competencies, and provide instructional coaching to our faculty.
While not all heroes wear capes, Ms. Edmonds is an in her own right. She credits many of her attributes to Wonder Woman and her acts of altruism, justice, equity, and equality. "No matter how small an act of kindness or generosity or simple positivity you put out into the world, it will make a difference." We cannot wait to see the impact she leaves at RHS!
