Teachers from the Ponderosa Elementary and Durham Elementary schools wore their new shirts to the school they are now sharing after the CampFire damaged their school in Paradise. And a fun fact, says Jona O’Shea, Durham Unified Teachers' Association president, is that both schools have the same mascot – tigers!
Working together side by side, these educators are doing what is best for students and helping one another along the way.

This is just another sweet thing Durham has done for teachers from Ponderosa to make us feel welcomed! How fortunate am I that out of tragedy came this silver lining: my work and home are now in the same town. ❤️
