And Orleans Emergency Unit is by appointment only and currently is the ONLY fitting station in the Orleans County ( Newport/ Barton Ambulance's are no longer fitting stations) the contact is Kristin @ 673-2850. Is your child’s car seat the right fit?
If you live in Orleans County and are in need of a new car seat, please contact us! Any person on state assistance (reach-up, fuel assistance etc.) qualifies for new car seats for your child. You will need to come to a fitting station for the installation. Private message us and we would love to be assistance.
Don't forget anyone who is 32 weeks plus don't forget to book your car seat inspection today :) Although we typically don't do them until you are 37-39 weeks we like you get you in the books and scheduled.

[01/08/18] Its been very cold out lately. Please remember its not safe to have your children in there winter clothing while in there childrestraint in the car.
[11/20/17] As winter is apon us please remember it is no safe to have your child bundled up in a car seat. (Winter jacket, snowsuit) if you need help please feel free to contact me and set up an appointment or contact a certified CPS tech in your area!

What are the VT aws regarding seat safety?
All infants, under 1 year old and less than 20 lbs must ride rear-facing in an approved child restraint.
Infants must not be placed in front of an active air bag.
All children up to the age of 8 must ride in an approved child restraint.
All children ages 8 to 18 must ride in an approved child restraint or safety belt system.
BEST practice and recommended:
Rear facing until at least 2 years old, longer the better.
Stay in the back seat until 13 years old.
Stay in booster until seatbelt fits properly.
