• The foreigners (believed to be Venezuelan) were holding a package and waited for the family to open the door. When the family opened the door, the suspects forced their way inside and robbed them.

Please understand that these days if you're going to go to a major public venue, then you must understand the risks you may be taking.

Additionally, if you're going to a public venue on a holiday, those risks are increased.

Take a look at the nature of your event, such as is it a religious event that could draw violence from ideological opposition?

What demographic will you be spending time with, does that demographic have a propensity towards violence?

Will there be alcohol and various substances that have a propensity towards violence present?

If you're willing to take on all of those risks, then make sure you have a plan to evacuate the area immediately and also the means to protect yourself because you just never know.

Your piece of mind is in your preparation. Come train with me and learn the soft skills you need to live a safe pattern of life.

Regardless of your religion, there is some wisdom here from the streets and from reality.

Proceed with humility because you never know who can kill you.

Arrogance is blinding, which makes you even easier to kill.

Conversely, there's always someone watching you who can change your life. So do everything as if you're doing it under your faith.

Intimidation is for chomps! Period.

Those who fear violence or do not understand it will often times try to scare you out of it, and many times have not yet truly been tested.

If you are actively training everything l've said above makes perfect sense to you. Those who are not training, should take notes.

-they rolled head on to keep him from taking her

From what l've seen, this is being deemed a terrorist attack …

Law enforcement, intervenes, and mistakes the victim for the attacker.

Eventually, they figure it out and get a hold of the right guy.

Major lesson is that we must always be prepared to protect ourselves and our loved ones in real time when out in public.

Fortunately law enforcement was nearby and able to intervene in short order. You can only imagine what would've happened if they were not.

The reality of life is that your protection is in your hands, so be sure that you’re training and staying vigilant.

Based on everything we see happening in the world right now as security professionals, these types of attacks are expected to be on the rise.
