As we conclude this month of Heart Awareness Nurse Annie is leaving you with a few tips that will help keep your heart healthy! We hope this month’s information has been value added to your health journey.
🧘♀️ Stress Less 🧘♂️
Stress can take a toll on your heart. Practice mindfulness, deep breathing, and take breaks to relax. Nurse Annie and Kingdom First Ministries has included our favorite stress-relief techniques:
****Deep Breathing: Practice deep breathing exercises to help calm your mind and body. Try inhaling for 4 counts, holding for 7 counts, and exhaling for 8 counts.
****Mindfulness Meditation: Spend a few minutes each day practicing mindfulness meditation to stay present and reduce anxiety.
****Physical Activity: Engage in regular physical activity like walking, jogging, yoga, or dancing to release endorphins and reduce stress.
****Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Focus on tensing and then slowly relaxing each muscle group in your body, starting from your toes and moving upwards.
***Creative Outlets: Channel your stress into creative activities like drawing, painting, writing, or playing a musical instrument.

So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. (Hebrew 6: 18-19 NLT)
Be sure you’re anchored in Jesus!

Kingdom First Ministries celebrates Carter Godwin Woodson who was born on December 19, 1875 in New Canton, VA. He was known as an American historian, author, journalist, and founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History.
In February 1926, he launched the celebration of "Negro History Week" to highlight the success of Black Americans. Which was later expanded in 1976 to what we know today as “Black History Month”.
In addition to highlighting Black American contributions, it was to ensure that school children were exposed to Black History, while also addressing the lack of information on Black American accomplishments.
Thank you Carter Woodson for your contributions!

Our hearts are with the people of Goma as they endure the ongoing violence and devastation caused by the March 23 Movement (M23). Over 100 lives have been lost, and nearly 1,000 have been wounded in the recent clashes. We pray for peace, protection, and healing for all those affected.
