We gave our Brookside Elementary School garden an upgrade last wk! New w**d cloth & lots of walk-on bark. Worked around the truck getting stuck on the slope, had to dump the bark in the yard instead and haul it by hand to the garden. So tired, we forgot to take a photo (until today) and there was no pile left to climb for a Rocky Balboa style victory dance! 🤣 Big thanks to my A-Team! Mr Kurt, Mrs Julie, my boys and the hubs, who shoveled and barrowed and raked until their arms almost fell off! Oak Park Unified School District
COOL CAMP is here!!
Daily art, yoga, dance, theatre, social and physical fitness activities, all included in one fee. But we are so much more than that…Our motto is that we teach “Coolness through Kindness and Confidence.” Cool is a way of being. The main focus of Cool Camp is kindness, because kindness is cool. We encourage and reward random acts of kindness. Our teaching styles are grounded in confidence boosting practices. Everyone is talented differently. By finding the best parts of each individual student and highlighting them, we help create confident, kind humans. And we do all this through the arts, social skills and physical activity.
PLUS-Every week we will have a performance and a Special Fun Friday.
