~Summer Tutor Spotlight~
Lindsay is one of our fabulous tutors this summer! Lindsay is not only dedicating her time tutoring but also working on research at The Veterans Affairs Hospital! She helps look at where veterans were stationed and see if there are any trends of certain health conditions! She hopes to continue doing this kind of work into college!

This week's spotlight tutor is John. John is known for his special connections with each student. John is vice president the OPRF service club, Dude's Who Make a Difference. Their most well known fundraiser is just around the corner where they donate all funds earned to Sarah's Inn.
Fun Fact: John's brother, Pat, was also a super tutor at The Learning League.

This week's Spotlight tutor, is our SUPER tutor, Merrick.
Outside of The Learning League, Merrick is a member of the OPRF Scholastic Bowl Team as well as having the role of Event Manager of the Science Team. He was recently named a National Merit Semi-Finalist.
Fun Fact: Merrick can play "My Heart Will Go On" with two recorders harmonizing with his nose.

The Learning League is happy to be serving families in Oak Park (and the surrounding area) for five years! The Learning League is unique in the way we work with our community. We are located at the heart of Oak Park on 171 S. Oak Park Avenue. Our tutors are OPRFHS or Fenwick students who have a passion for learning and working with kids. In addition to receiving 1:1 tutoring at an affordable rate, your child will meet with the same tutor weekly. Coupled with building this academic and mentor relationship, a plan is created that is specific to the students' academic needs. Though I work with the parents to set goals and create the initial plan, our tutors implement the plan and are flexible with changes as your child evolves in their learning path. I am always available to look at your child's work (assessments and teacher feedback) and tweak the original plan or create a new plan to fit a new goal.
Our team works with students grades first through eighth. We guide middle school kiddos in learning the value of organization and study habits, give a boost to the student who may need more time to understand a concept and provide a enrichment to the student who wants to be challenged.
