I just finished an 80 hour underwater wet welding course with IDI. Instructor was Jack Bauer. It was one of the most demanding courses I have ever done. I can't say enough good things about it! Well worth the money. Jack does not tolerate failure. I bet I burned 300 rods in two weeks and everyday I got better. I just wanted to post my compliments.There is some good stuff going on at the old Charleston Navy Shipyard!

Our courses include a combination of in-class and hands-on instruction. Our classroom instruction is focused on teaching our students the science behind that they’re doing. In the water, we focus on perfecting the tasks that they’ll need to perform throughout their careers in the commercial diving industry.
After students have earned their Air/Mixed Gas Surface-Supplied Diving certification, they may choose to receive specialized training and certification in a variety of specialties, including: Underwater Welding, Hazwoper/Hazmat, ROV Pilot and Technician, Underwater Burning, and DCBD Unrestricted Surface-Supplied Diving supervision. Each of these specialized programs prepares our students to enjoy long-term success in their careers.
