Little People Can Have Big Feelings MARCH 24 @ 4PM

GPB will be hosting a program for parents and caregivers of young children. They are partnering with Sesame Street in Communities for an online community summit that they are calling “Little People Can Have Big Feelings.” They have a great panel of early childhood experts lined up to share strategies and resources for caregivers supporting young children as they explore their emotions, particularly during this stressful and uncertain time.

The virtual event is free to attend and open to all, so feel free to share with patrons, friends, and family. The event will not be recorded for later viewing.

Good Morning & Happy Friday
The staff at ESNG & Parent Committee would like to tell you all about the exciting topic for our February Parent Meeting, "Fatherhood". We would kindly like to have as many fatherly figures/Male involvement as possible for this upcoming Parent Meeting. I know how life can get busy, but Fathers, or Male Involvement in childrens' lives is important, with many benefits. It is no difference when it comes to our young children at Easter Seals. We would like to share an idea of inviting all male/fatherly figures from Fathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, Great Uncles etc.. to join the kids via Zoom meetings (per individual classroom) on February 25th, 2021.

For example; each Early Head Start, and Head Start classroom teacher would check in advance, and comply accordingly with their lesson plans, and designate a 30 minutes Zoom Call. Thus inviting all fatherly, males figures to participate, and introduce themselves, talk about either their favorite animal, or if they have a pet at home (show and tell). The month of February theme is "Animals''. What a great way for the kids to have their fathers/male figures get involved virtually on February 25th, 2021. It is also a great opportunity for our families to see their children's classrooms and teachers.
