The large movement activities we do in class aren't just for fun! Doing things like marching, hopping, and spinning help little brains process things like:
👀 sensory integration: how they experience, interpret and react to information coming from their senses.
🏃♀️ body awareness: knowing where different body parts are located, how they are moving, and their relative positions in space.
🌎 spatial orientation: awareness of position and orientation in relation to the surrounding environment.
🤸♀️ balance: maintaining stability and equilibrium during movements.
⛹️ coordination: the ability to execute smooth and efficient movements by integrating various body parts and muscle groups to perform a specific task or activity.
So have fun while developing the skills that will help your little one safely navigate the world around them.
It's National🍦Ice Cream Day! Where is your favorite local place to get ice cream? What is your favorite flavor?
Add a verse about ice cream to "Apples and Cherries" from this summer's Kazoo collection: "Vanilla ice cream, strawberry ice cream, chocolate ice cream, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum."
Research suggests that young children often focus on the words in songs, affording them less access to the music, especially the tonal aspects. Singing songs without words, like “Sailing Song” from this summer’s Kazoo collection, removes the distraction of language and allows children to focus on the pitch and melody of the song!
🐮 Herd this joke and thought we’d share. A little moosic before bed can also help little ones settle down and fall asleep.
Where is your favorite place to watch fireworks 🎆 locally?
What do you consider the best or most unique fireworks 🎆 display you’ve seen?

Music Together is an award-winning international educational program founded on the belief that all children are musical, and that music is a perfect way for even the youngest child to learn, create, communicate, connect, and grow.
Kids age birth - five years, together with their parents or caregivers sing songs and nursery rhymes, dance, do lap songs and tickle games, and play drums, bells, and other instruments in an informal, creative, supportive, and fun atmosphere.
While we are joyfully singing and dancing, we are also helping to develop speech and language skills, social skills, movement skills, math skills, and a whole range of other development.
Classes are limited to 12 children, with a parent or caregiver, and meet for 45 minutes, once a week.
