Members of Fordham Prep's George Jackson Mentorship Program came together for a day dedicated to reflection, community and service. Edmond Papantonio (FP '64) shared his firsthand experience marching for freedom during the Civil Rights Movement and hearing Dr. King speak. Students and mentors also heard from Raul Alvarez (FP'05) on the memory of Sam Chionuma and prepared care packages for the guests at Part of the Solution (POTS) - reminders about shaping lives with purpose and compassion.

The Dramatic Society production of "Treasure Island" will set sail on Friday 2/7 at 7pm in Fordham Prep's Leonard Theater!
An additional performance will run on Saturday 2/8 at 7pm. Tickets are $15 and will be sold at the door.

Members from the Class of '24 visited the Prep while home on break - rekindling friendships and sharing their wisdom with our seniors. Jack Conroy (Brown), Dylan Lang (URI), and Liam Tully (Virginia Tech) spoke about embracing new communities, time management, being open to new people and experiences, while balancing academics and social activities - all things they picked up in their years at the Prep.

Congratulations to Gerry Byrne (Fordham Prep '62, Fordham University '66). Gerry received the U.S. Navy’s top civilian accolade, the Distinguished Public Service Award for his lifelong commitment to supporting military and veteran communities. Gerry was a captain in the U.S. Marine Corp and is a committee member of Fordham Prep’s Alumni Veterans Network. He met with members of our Class of 2026 in December to talk about his career. Thank you for exemplifying what it means to be a man for others.

Happy Feast of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton!
The widow, foundress of the Sisters of Charity, and first native-born canonized American saint was the aunt of Fordham's third President Rev. James Roosevelt Bayley, grandmother of William Seton IV (Class of 1848), and an important influence in the life of Fordham’s founder John Hughes.
During a faculty/staff retreat this school year, a group of retreatants visited the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine in Manhattan.

As of December 18th, Fordham Prep students have received EA and ED acceptances at 117 (and counting) colleges and universities across the U.S. and in Europe. Our seniors have submitted over 1,900 college applications, with the guidance and support of the Prep's College Counseling Department, and are looking forward to more good news in the coming months! Congratulations to all!

🎨 🎷 🎶 🎺 🎹 On Wednesday, December 18th, Fordham Prep's Visual & Performing Arts Department will be presenting our Winter Arts Showcase from 2:45-3:15pm & 6-8pm.
This event will feature student musicians and artists with an open gallery showcasing work from our Studio Art I & II, Architectural Drawing, AP 2D Art & Design, and Computer Graphics & Web Design classes in the Theatre Atrium starting at 2:45pm. In the evening, we will have an open gallery starting and a concert featuring our Jazz Ensembles and Choir in Leonard Theater starting at 6pm.
