10 years ago today, on May 7, 2014... Quattro the cat's life would be violently taken away by school age children in Paterson, New Jersey. Though he was suffering due to his injuries... it was decided by the vets that he had to be euthanized. The injuries sustained left Quattro in agony. He couldn't even eat properly because his jaw was broken to the point of no full recovery any time soon. That's how bad the injuries were with bricks and stones thrown at the cat who did nothing to deserve this.
The way we treat animals and view them in our society is shaped from a very young age so much so much that in this tragedy you saw a group of children under 10 years old torture a cat for their own pleasure. They got a thrill out of it. Just because we have the capacity to use our strength to destroy another being, our fellow earthlings, doesn't make it okay for us to do as we please. Our entire civilization needs a paradigm shift where animals can be given the respect they deserve. Thankfully there were a few other kids who stepped in to try helping Quattro the cat, but sadly it was too late. As I said, we need a paradigm shift especially for the animals.
He will always be remembered.
Rest in Power to Quattro.

It’s World Day for Animals in Laboratories 🐰🐇🐵🐷🐶
This year also marks the 45th anniversary of this very important and solemn day.
In 1979, The NAVS (National Anti-Vivisection Society) established World Day for Laboratory Animals (also referred to as Lab Animal Day) on April 24 – Lord Hugh Dowding's birthday. This international day of commemoration is recognised by the United Nations, and is now marked annually by anti-vivisectionists on every continent. In 1980, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), led by PETA Founder, Ingrid Newkirk, organized the first World Day for Laboratory Animals protest in the U.S.
This artwork was made for the amazing who rescue lab rabbits and educate on alternatives to animal testing. The artwork itself was done by the amazing: .kolinskaAnimal testing is cruel and notoriously unreliable, time to end it!

In a recent turn of events in Turkey, the brutal killing of a stray cat named Eros has ignited widespread public outrage and a significant social media movement under the hashtag . The perpetrator, Ibrahim Keloğlan, initially received a lenient sentence for his actions, which was met with vehement protests from animal rights activists and the general public. The case escalated to such an extent that it caught the attention of President Erdogan, leading to a retrial and a stiffer sentence for Keloğlan. Despite this, the sentence fell short of activists’ demands, sparking further debate on animal rights and legal justice in the country.

Recently, anti-fur activists staged a protest outside the home of Jennifer Sagum, Vice President of Marc Jacobs International, over the use of real animal fur. What started as typical protest ended in a neighborhood brawl and grand larceny. Jennifer’s husband Brian Moss assaulted protesters and stole a phone from an activist resulting in him being arrested for Grand Larceny – a felony in the state of New York.
Marc Jacobs recently celebrated their 40th year in fashion. He remains one of the few American fashion designers still not taking a stance against the use of real fur.
