On October 21st, 2001 we opened our doors on the Upper Westside. We started with a single instructor who, tired of the corporate rat race, left his Fortune 500 job to seek a career with meaning. In the 18 years since then, Modern Martial Arts has grown to 7 locations with over 50 employees who are able to pursue their passion, using martial arts to impact lives in meaningful ways every day. To live a life in martial arts is to understand that the journey is everything. We are so honored to be able to share our journey with you!
