Welcome to 911 Driving School – Mt. Pleasant, where all our instructors are Police Officers. We are conveniently located on Hwy 17 N in The Shoppes at Brickyard (we are behind BB&T).
We offer three driving packages to prepare students to take the road test for their restricted license. Our driver's education courses are held almost every other weekend with behind the drives with our police officers 7 days a week! In addition to our driver's education, we also offer the Road Skills Test to get your license. No more waiting in long lines at the DMV, simply schedule an appointment with us. We also offer defensive driving courses including the Traffic Education Program, a 4-Point Reduction Course and also South Carolina's Alive at 25 program.
Operating as usual
Please join us in prayer for one of our deputies and everyone involved in this incident this morning. The deputy was assisting with a disabled vehicle on the Don Holt Bridge when he was struck by a passing vehicle. He is hospitalized with serious injuries.
Please call the office to register. Included with any teen package.

[06/06/20] We have cancelled all our June classes so we can catch up with drives. Our July classes are full. We hope to start enrolling new students in August. Thank you for your support and patience.
Supporting and proud of all of our instructors including our Captain Angie and her colleagues at the North Charleston Police Department.
Now out of quarantining due to COVID-19, Chief Reggie Burgess speaks publicly for the first time on the murder of George Floyd and offers his full support to peaceful protests.
[05/04/20] The PDLA does not need to be signed by the school through June. The student needs to email their school for proof of their attendance. The email must have the student’s full name, the name of the school enrolled in, and that the student is not suspended or expelled. This email will go to the SCDMV with the original PDLA.
We are glad to back driving and doing road tests. We are requesting all students to bring a face covering. We are sanitizing with a goal of keeping everyone safe and healthy. We are operating with 1/4 of our instructors so there is likely a wait for a drive.
Thank you for your patience.
So glad to have Captain Johnson as a behind the wheel instructor and classroom teacher! Can’t wait for her to teach via Zoom this Saturday!
Lean on me!
