Have you ever felt the intense pull of a dream you know you were destined to fulfill? The accompanying quote came to mind last evening as I sat on my back porch watching the sunset. I was pondering the first review I received from a member of the focus group. She is one of 30 wonderful people who volunteered to read and critique the first section of the initial version of my manuscript. She is an ex-client who knows me and whom I trust to give honest feedback on my life’s work.

Since 2003, I have been on an undeniable mission to learn all I can from the best of the best. Over the past 18 years, I have relentlessly read through, listened to, and collated what made sense to me. I watched webinars, traveled to workshops, and attended trainings all over the country in search of the answers. I have updated and created seven versions of my work. Until last summer, when I heard my inner voice say that it was complete, and it’s time to share. I have been working since to put onto paper all the knowledge in my head, the experiences I have witnessed with my clients, tweaking my processes, and translating the images of my whiteboards into sentences.

My amazing volunteer filled out the survey and texted me her thoughts yesterday. She was honest, open, and real. With nothing but love in her heart, she shared that my authentic voice was not coming through, it was too technical, and it needed more work. Needless to say, at first, I felt deflated. As I sat with it, I became more and more inspired to work even harder to make my dream become reality. I realized the challenge within was of me facing my own fears and saying, “why not.” Growth is all about being challenged to learn, stretch, and grow, and then to inspire and contribute. So, the journey continues. Thank you, Lynn for reminding me to believe that the ground I stand on is my own.

Is there an episode in your “History Channel” where you have not forgiven you? Our implicit memories are neurological bundles of perceptions, emotions, beliefs, and body sensations that reside in our nervous system. If a memory, an episode from your “History Channel” is unresolved, it may be stuck on autopilot reruns that can be accessed on demand. Unfortunately, the on-demand part is not totally up to you, consciously.

When a perception of the present is reminiscent of the past, the inherent components of the memory retrieves us, we don’t retrieve it. Hence, auto-on-demand! One of the most powerful episodes may be one where you have not forgiven yourself. It could be about something yesterday or a decade ago. Either way, it could become toxic for your system, infecting your mind, body and soul, and therefore trapping you an addictive self-abusive pattern.

Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting another to die. This adage also applies when we drink the poison, trying to kill off a pain-filled aspect of ourselves. We have all make mistakes in the past, and carry the burdens of regret in some way. If your burden is becoming too heavy, please learn to forgive, accept, and love that aspect of yourself. The past is there for us to learn and grow from, not to noose to carry around our neck to perpetually hang ourselves.

As you listen to the whispers from your soul, are you: doing what you want to do and being who you want to be? Life is a series of journeys that have phases much like the seasons. In this phase, are you tumbling downward, sliding sideways, or striving and aspiring to reach your next higher level? Have you hit your bottom and said, “This is it, no more. I will not accept this another day. Enough is enough.” Are you really ready to commit to yourself to do whatever you need to do to get to where you want to get?

If you are striving to reach the next highest level, there are two sets of GOALS to focus on. As you can imagine, GOALS is an acronym – Growth Opportunities And Leadership Strategies. The first set are our external goals for what you want to achieve, the doing part of the journey. The second set of goals is who you want to become to achieve your external goals, this is the being aspect of the journey. The distinction is if your internal goals are not aligned and congruent with your external goals, it will make it more difficult to achieve the external goals.

With our internal goals we focus on three aspects. First, we define and assign meaning to our most important Mindful Empowered values. Next, we craft empowering beliefs which will enhance and support the values. Lastly, we engage in daily practices to fire and wire in green- empowered neuro-references so we train our mind to become unconsciously competent in the next best, highest version of ourselves. As you begin your journey, I ask for you to consider two things: First is to give up arguing within yourself about your self-imposed limitations and second, please know you are way, way more than you think you are!

Do you honor who you really are or who you think you are? Sound confusing? Have you ever defended something about yourself that you know within is not the real you? Early in life we have impactful neurological experiences that shape the programming of our inner software. We try and make sense of things that make no sense and begin to form disempowered references deeply embedded within the process for how we make sense of things.

Over time we use these unconscious references as a basis for assigning meaning to our present experiences that initiates a corresponding emotion. If we follow this cycle often enough, with peak elevated energy, we may unconsciously make a decision and form a disempowered belief. These beliefs come in two forms: fear beliefs are based on and focus on the external world and shame beliefs are based on and focus on our internal world.

This creates a neural pathway in our system that forms an identity for who we think we are, how others are, and the world is. The identity we create about ourselves becomes the frame of reference we filter our perceptions through life, until we decide to change it. The challenge is when we are not mindful that we are running an old program based on a disempowered identity. When we are, we will show up in a way, so the external world validates the identify. In essence we unconsciously repeat the pattern, so we re-enact and re-enforce our identity to prove we are right, even when it causes us to suffer.

Does your unconscious bias serve you or cause you to suffer? Our unconscious biases are based on past references we programmed into our RAM memory. As you know, we are metaphorical supercomputers constantly processing massive amounts of sensory data. Sensory data comes into our system as energy and information which we filter through our past references. We use the references as the basis for assigning meaning to our perception of an experience in the present moment.

One of the key points is this elaborate process which takes less than a nanosecond to complete, is unconscious and context related. The context is based on who or what is in the focus of our perception and the time and place we are at the moment we receive the sensory data. These unconscious references are the basis for our bias. They are the neural pathways we created based on past experiences where we assigned a uniquely similar meaning multiple times with a high elevated emotion. This re-enforces the pattern of connections in our nervous system to become the frame of reference for how we process the present based on the past.

The question is: Depending on the context of the situation, are your references: green – empowered which serves you OR red-disempowered which causes you to suffer in some way. When we are wired with red-disempowered references, we form the story we tell ourselves in a way where we blame the outer world for how we think, feel and act instead of taking responsibility for our inner world. We focus on that which we do not want, we get our adult attachment needs of connection and significance met in negative ways and the language of the narrative we use to recite the script of our History Channel is disempowered, littered with limiting beliefs. Remember, you are the master programmer of your inner software, it is your choice to change your programmed patterns when you are ready!

Our Story

I invite you to embark on a journey of awareness of how our past influences our present and directs our future. The stories we have created, the emotional states we live in and who we think we are, may have an adverse impact for how we make sense of what has happened in the past and what is happening in our lives today. This can lead to the triggering of repetitive negative patterns of thoughts, emotions and behaviors that keep bringing us more of what we do not want.

In my Life Coaching program, we will engage in a journey of education, exploration and powerful experiential processes including The Re-Claiming Process, Masters Level NLP – Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Meditation, Hypnosis, Energy Releasing & Clearing, Time Line Therapy® and many more powerful processes.

You will learn and practice innovative techniques to gain clarity and flexibility as you own your stuff in order to achieve your outcome. We work together to promote emotional healing, healthy internal processing, design a compelling future, and create a new identity for how you show up for yourself and others.

We will develop a strategy to transform the narrative of your story, self-limiting beliefs and habitual negative patterns in order to achieve your goals, reclaim your personal power and experience inner peace.
