Tommrow Night!!!!

Benton Fish has been owner of Killershot Books for 11 years now. He inherited it after his father’s passing. Time and time again Benton has proven to be a reliable host and has even been compared and mistaken for Michael Cera. Benton would like to thank his father, the late Michael Fish, and his mother, an unnamed source as a result of her abandonment.

Maude Petry is president of FAHN, and became a member during her freshman year of college at the College of Charleston. She has spent many years of her life cooped up enjoying the thrill of horror and mystery novels while growing up in with her large family Pennsylvania. This is her fourth year as president, and she is thrilled to host the Screamlots Awards with her good friend Benton Fish. In addition to hosting the ceremony for the first time in Mt. Pleasant, SC, she is thrilled to showcase some quality entertainment from some very special guests, and to see which of the talented authors takes home the prize. It will be hard to choose!

Pricilla and Veronica Emberly:
Pricilla and Veronica Emberly were raised on a potato farm in rural Idaho by their mother and father, John and Mary Emberly. They were homeschooled by their mother and remain very close to their family. Pricilla and Veronica were inspired by the mysterious murder of their older sister Jenny and their love for the Victorian time period. Since they were little, they would go to the local library, “Springfield Library” and be in awe of the countless books. They crafted their book empire together collaborating on their harrowing, victorian-esque stories. Some of their previous books include The White Glove, The Poison Pendant, The Switchblade on the Sidewalk, and The Black Baby Carriage. Their most recent book Death’s Sweet Ransom is perhaps their most popular.

Chet Baxter Farquirk, who writes under the pseudonym Allissa Wentworth, is an accomplished author of numerous horror novels, including Machete Spaghetti, Clown with a Gun, and Hallway Full of Spiders. Farquirk was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, living in a small apartment with his mother, Tilde, his late father, Marcus, and his now institutionalized brother, Jed. He now lives comfortably with his girlfriend, Mitzi, in Portland, Oregon. His first book was a memoir about growing up with his clinically insane brother, titled The Knob of Knoxville, and it was mildly successful. After writing Machete Spaghetti, his most critically-acclaimed novel, Farquirk found he had a knack for writing horror novels. After writing his next horror book, The Roach Broach, he wanted to write a more serious novel about a falsely accused man being given a death sentence, titled A Lapse in Judgement. This was his least successful novel, and after its flop, Farquirk knew he had to focus his talents on writing horror books. His next four novels, The Man with Flamethrowers for Hands, The Vertebrae Collector, Clown with a Gun and Hallway full of Spiders were all smash hits, and this year, he has written another gripping tale of suspense, The Pit of Poison, which has been nominated to win the Screamlots award.

Hattie Glick:
Hattie Glick, writing under the pen name Lucretia Dewitt, is a widely renowned horror author, most notably recognized for her most recent books, Nightmare on Hell Street, Parasite, and Passage to Savannah. Born and raised in Deadwood, South Dakota, Hattie worked as a maid in a hospital, toiling away, dreaming of being an author of the country’s most respected horror novels. Finding inspiration at every turn, Hattie was overwhelmed with creative ideas, and produced dozens of terrifyingly amazing manuscripts in under six months, each with a new and diverse take on horror. With the support of her husband, Maynard Glick, Hattie grabbed the American dream by the collar, and in a matter of weeks had New York’s biggest publishers bowing at her feet. After bestowing the honor upon Killershot Books, Lucretia Dewitt has now become a household name in the literary world.

Edith Crumpowski grew up homeschooled in South Carolina and released her first illuminating, award-winning book at age sixteen: Dijon the Daring. Now twenty, Edith has released five Dijon books under her pen name, Ivana. All five are based in Dijon, France, known for its vast vineyards and striking architecture. Her series even includes Ivana’s first children's book, Dijon Goes Dancing, so all ages can experience her eloquent writing and become the inspiring heroine who grows with every new book. When she is not writing, Edith enjoys reading any Shakespeare plays, Edgar Allen Poe literature, and horror novels that she has been blessed enough to hold in her possession thanks to her grandparents’ book collection. She would like to thank her mother for bringing her this far in her career.

Lady Dorothy:
Portia St. Regis is an esteemed best-selling British author of classic horror novels such as The Prince’s Secret, Creature of the Marsh, and Lost, Yet Found.
As the current owner of the Wynchley two-million acre estate, Portia enjoys riding on her steed, Horatio, and playing cricket in her gardens. While at twilight, she enjoys brewing new horror stories, often inspired by her wonderful son, Denis, the next Lord Knolls Of Wynchley. She is often grieved by the loss of her late husband, Lord Basil, but she looks forward to an affluent and prosperous future.
Come meet her at our performance of My Fatal Mystery on Oct. 11

My Fatal Mystery is our interactive audience-participation murder mystery set in the lives of 5 very conspicuous horror authors.
