Park West Campus Ed Fund

The Park West Campus Education Fund (PWCEF) was created to provide vital support to the Park West Campus Schools.

By bringing together our community we can provide more efficient and stable funding. With this in mind, we have partnered with the Coastal Community Foundation to establish an endowed fund for the schools. This arrangement ensures that your donations will provide the schools support now and in the future.

The PWCEF is necessary to help ensure the caliber of educational programs that we have come to expect of the Park West Campus Schools and to take it to the next level of excellence. The Fund will collect resources necessary to keep our schools at the top in the state and boost them into some of the top schools in the nation. This shift to a streamlined fundraising approach for our campus is in collaboration with our PTA and PTO groups and will replace many of the traditional, school-based fundraising efforts (such as product sales). The Fund team will be seeking support from parents, non parents, businesses and foundations, all of whom make our community a wonderful place to live.

Mission: To make a difference for our children, our community, and our future!

Love our teachers!

Today teachers and administrators from Charles Pinckney Elementary School had a "parade" to support their students who are at home. They drove together through Park West and Dunes West neighborhoods led by SRO Johnny Sides. There were more than 20 cars and all followed the social distancing rules. They will also be having another "parade" tomorrow!

Did you know that SLIS has TWO alumni on this year's Library Journal Movers & Shakers list? Jennifer Thrift, a teacher librarian at Charles Pinckney Elementary School in Mount Pleasant, Charleston County School District, and Tamara King, community relations director at Richland Library, are redefining what it means to be a librarian. Read our Q&As with them on the SLIS website:

Some more fun pictures of our BIG check presentations at Laurel Hill and Pinckney from Park West Ed Fund! We can't wait to see these funds in action in 2019!

Park West Ed Fund brought some early holiday cheer to Cario Middle School and presented their BIG check for $36,000 (!!) raised during this years annual PWCEF campaign!

Thank you again to all of the families, friends, and students that contributed to the Park West Campus Ed Fund this season! Pinckney students celebrated in style!

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Park West Campus Ed Fund. The winning classes enjoyed their celebration today!

[11/20/18]   As we wrap up our annual campaign today, we at the Ed Fund would like to express our gratitude to all of the families, students, friends, faculty and staff who support our schools! We have so much to be thankful for!
We wish everyone a wonderful & safe Thanksgiving weekend!

[11/13/18]   Our annual campaign wraps up in one week! Did you know: 99 cents from every dollar donated to the PWCEF campaign goes directly to our schools? (Traditional fundraisers like candy and wrapping paper sales typically only give about 50% back to the schools.) Help us make an impact on your child's learning environment - let's finish this campaign strong!

[11/09/18]   Are you interested in giving to the Ed Fund but just can't swing one big lump sum? Consider a smaller donation that is set up to repeat monthly! $10-15 per month can make a big impact!
Want to double your gift? Many employers will match your donation to a 501(c)(3) organization like ours - just ask!

How awesome are these decorated PWCEF donation envelopes made by the students in Pinckney’s 5th grade - team Miller/Robertson/Toribio!?? It’s no wonder that class is the current leader in campaign contributions at Pinckney!

Families and Friends: simply put - you are the best!
We are making so much progress in our campaign thanks to your generosity! Our schools are ready to do great things - drama programs, Chromebooks, math interventionists, classroom learning and playground equipment... the wish list is long and your donations are truly helping!

[10/30/18]   The Ed Fund is excited to announce that we will be extending our campaign through November! While we had a strong start, we haven’t met our goal yet and are extending the opportunity into November to make your donation. Our total funds raised so far is $58,000—so we have quite a way to go in order to achieve our goal of $150,000. If you haven’t donated yet, please take a moment to do so—it will make a world of difference for our schools. Thank you!

Hey friends!

This week three more families **doubled their donations** by applying for employer matches. Can you, too? Ask your employer and let us know!

Contact us at [email protected] to let us know you did it, or for help.

Park West Campus Ed Fund

THANK YOU, friends and families, for everything you are doing to make our campaign a success! We are making BIG strides and can't wait to write those big checks to our schools so they can start putting your donations to use!

Show campus pride and spread the word by sharing the "I Donated" button to your page!

We're getting there, thanks to YOU!

Wondering what to do today? How about making a donation to the Ed Fund!
