We are proud to announce that Dr. Abraham Seda (Department of History, College of Liberal Arts | University of Minnesota) has successfully defended his dissertation on “A Contested Ring: African Boxing, Social Control and Subversive Culture in Colonial Zimbabwe, c.1910 to 1980”. Maggie is quoted about her January article citing industrial agriculture as “the root cause of many health problems that honey bees face”, and speaks extensively about her learning process about honey bees, stingless bees, and their Indigenous stewards in southern Mexico. Great work, Maggie!

Are you a graduate or professional student from the Twin Cities interested in developing your facilitation and leadership skills? The Institute on the Environment — University of Minnesota is seeking eight students to serve as IonE Graduate Leaders to facilitate cohorts of IonE Graduate Scholars. IonE Graduate Leaders are paid a $2000 stipend and participate in a year-long leadership development program.
