Amato Center adults and alumni, are you in???

Friends of the Amato... ARE YOU READY??

We've got a challenge for all you alum and adults out there! We want to see all those skills you've honed during your time in quarantine (or I guess all that talent you had before the world went crazy!) We'll stream a compilation of video submissions via facebook live on Wednesday, May 6 and let popular vote decide the winners! (And the winners will get an amazon gift card, so you can be sure that this is truly an official contest. We're the real deal here.)

The Rules:

Acts can include groups or individual family members under the age of 18, but if that is the case, there must be at least one person over the age of 18 in the video!

You have one week - until Friday, May 1st at 8pm - to get us a video under five minutes of your "act". We'll stream it the following Wednesday night on Facebook Live! Send videos to [email protected] via Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud.

Acts can include music, dance, juggling, jokes, goofy music videos, homemade sketch comedy videos, Rube Goldberg machines - literally anything goes as long as it's family friendly. So get creative! Wear costumes, do funky lighting. We encourage collaboration and fun.

Can't wait to see what you all come up with! Info and reminders will be posted on our Google Site at :)

High schoolers, college students, or alum in the arts - feel free to join us tonight at 7pm for a call with professional actor and RYC alum Alec! Link in the description below.

Happy Monday, everyone! We've got a very special alumni chat for you tonight - RYC's own Alec Paulson will be joining us tonight at 7!

Alec was part of Riverbend for years and is now a professional actor, and is looking forward to sharing his story and answering any questions about his journey on the call tonight. All are welcome to join, visit the calendar page at for the Zoom link!

A new challenge from the Riverbend Youth Company!

Calling all designers, costumers, and technicians - we have a challenge for you! We've laid out guidelines for a set design and costume competition on our Google site - pick a show, design either the set or costumes of your wildest dreams, build model versions with materials on hand, and send us photos and a description by April 24th.

All submissions will be judged by some of our own impartial RYC designers, and the top three submissions will receive Amazon gift cards from us. Plus we'll showcase all the media we receive on social media! For more info, visit :)

Big news from Riverbend! Check it out! 😀

Drumroll please...We are so excited to announce a Riverbend development that's been in the works for a while now - the brand new RYC Second Stage series!

After months of planning, a stack of new equipment arrived today that will let us temporarily turn the multipurpose room into a popup blackbox theater and secondary stage, complete with theatrical lights and sound. The goal for Second Stage is to allow Riverbend the space to explore smaller, experimental, and more intimate shows and let new and interested directors gain experience before jumping on the big stage. We can't wait to kick off this 3-4 show a year series with the inaugural production of Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) September 14-15, featuring three incredibly talented performers (more info coming soon!)

Keep an eye on our page and for more updates. Thanks for sticking with us as RYC continues to grow and reach more of the community around us!
