From student to employee to franchisee, Hannah has experienced Kumon at every level. As a student, Hannah struggled with learning disabilities such as ADHD and dyslexia. Meet Joshika, a 10-year-old Kumon Student who launched her own company in 2019. Joshika's Jewels for Joy sells handcrafted jewels and donates the profits to a variety of charities.
Joshika was recognized as the youngest recipient of The Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky “17 under Seventeen Awards 2021” which recognizes those who are working hard to make a difference in the community. The 2022 Virtual Student Conference was an inspiration for all!✨ Each speaker's journey was different but shared a theme: although hard times may arise in life, you must continue practicing and persevering to achieve your goals.
We thank all speakers and attendees for making this a special event!
Christine was the final student speaker at this year's conference. Kumon taught her to be ambitious, disciplined, and motivated which helped her to complete the program before high school!
Christine's ambition also led her to code the app to provide resources to a global community of scoliosis patients. She highlighted the importance of investing time into improving yourself and giving back to your community.
