Hello Midlo Middle Drama Facebook Family!!
Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Lucretia Anderson and I am thrilled to join the Mustang community as the new drama teacher as the new Drama Teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I know you all will miss Mrs. Bernard dearly, but we are good friends and so I know she will stay in touch!

I have spent the past 7 years teaching English and Theatre at Orchard House Middle School for girls in the Fan. I am originally from the Washington, DC area but studied theatre at West Virginia University and in New York City.

I began teaching theatre a little less than 20 years ago when I returned to the DC area to raise my family. I taught with various theatre companies there including Imagination Stage, Round House Theatre, and the Folger Shakespeare Library and the Smithsonian's Discovery Theater to name a few.

In Richmond, I teach with SPARC and Spectrum Q***r Youth Theatre, and I act and direct around town as well! My favorite play that I performed in recently was Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew with Quill Theatre last summer!

I am hugely into creating joyful and inclusive communities, love reading, writing poetry and articles, singing Hamilton at the top of my lungs, and binge watching Avatar: The Last Airbender with my kids! I have a 15 year old daughter and an 11 year old son.

I know we won't get to see each other in person just yet, but I can't wait to meet current students in our virtual classroom! See you soon!🤩
