Still waiting to wake up 😂
Anyone else still feel like you’re going to wake up tomorrow and maybe just maybe everything will be back to normal?
Schools will be reopening, you can go to the store without a mask, and kids can see their friends without excessive worrying over germs?
When I’m not trying to hide in the bathroom or wishing I just had a few minutes of “normal” time by myself, I’m hugging my girls a little tighter and just being so thankful we’re together, healthy, and provided for.
And just when I think I couldn’t love my fitness community any more, it reached a whole new level!
We aren’t working out because we are panicking about the quaran-15, we move to take care of our bodies. We move to show our kids that it’ll be okay 💕 We move because we love ourself! And we are seriously taking things just one day at a time right now... one workout, one meal, one day at a time.
How are you keeping up with your routine while you’re at home?

She was good until I tried to explain she had to have blood work done too 😭 Six viles later, and she was inconsolable. What a day!

It’s the time of year when all I want to do is go to bed (even if it’s only 8:00) and all she wants to do is stay awake and play hide and seek 🤦🏽♀️😂
I haven’t been doing many progress pics because well I haven’t had much progress the last couple months.
I do really well for a few weeks and then stress hits and 💥 back to the pantry looking for snacks. One thing that has stayed consistent even with the craziness of this past year is my workouts. It’s the thing that keeps me a little more sane in this hybrid teaching pandemic life I’m living.
I switched things up two weeks ago and went back to boxing and lifting with some HIIT thrown in. 9 days between these pics, and I’m feeling good again!
Spring is here and summer is just around the corner. It’s not too late for you to do this with me 💕

Growing up in a family that was part Irish with a name that means “Ireland/Irish Meadows” (I even had the last name Patrick when I was born 😂) we always celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with green milk and whatever other food my mom could turn green.
The leprechaun had to carry on the tradition now for McKenna 🍀 with green milk, lucky charms, green water in the 🚽, and some hidden golden coins.

That was one of my biggest worries when I first started doing home workout. I assumed I’d do the same ten moves over again everyday of the week and be bored out of kind ready to quit.
I was proven wrong very quickly.
Every time I finish a program there is a new one waiting for me. Just as I was ready for something new I finished the program I was doing and jumped back into a little 🥊 All I need is a fist and a couple dumbbells 💪🏼
No boredom. No plateaus. No leaving my house.
What’s your favorite type of workout??
This school year it always seems as if I’m working my butt off yet- I always feels like I am not doing enough.
It’s time to focus on just doing the best I can and not stressing so much on the things I am not doing.

Someone was super excited to get a pedicure today... and so was this little girl 😂 it had been a long time since I took the time to get both a mani and pedi. It was much needed time with my girl today 💕 I didn’t pick green and gold like she did though 🍀

It may or may not help me because of my immune issues, but I decided to trust my doctor when he said the possibility of helping outweighed it not. So here’s to hoping this really sore arm is the worst of my side effects 🙏🏻

This year for Valentine’s I told my hubby I REALLY didn’t want any chocolate not even my favorite ghirardelli sea salt caramels. I mean I’m trying to get abs here 😂😂 But had seen these protein donuts I wanted to try.
And you know when you say something out loud all you start to see is ads for that very thing... am I right??
So needless to say I put in an order for these babies and oh my goodness! They are so good. The donut (and hole) come plain and then you get all the toppings and glazes to decorate them yourself.
Donut worry this isn’t an ad, just an honest opinion that if you’re looking for healthier donuts 🍩 here you go! Shark 🦈 Tank got this one right.

Say it isn’t so! After just having thirty hours without power and having to throw away everything in our fridge, I am hoping this changes in the next 24 hours.
What I learned in those 30 hours:
-we really need to get our generator working 😂
-McKenna sure does put out plenty of body heat
-many gas logs have a battery backup 🔥
-not opening your fridge for a day and a half can make you gain weight (thanks ihop, wawa, and Texas Roadhouse) 😂
-family time is really what matters most 💕

McKenna went to Costco with daddy and brought me back “an early Valentine’s present.”
She was so excited to give them to me the second she got home.

Decided to enjoy a donut this morning to help ease my anxiety a little. I ended up only eating half and enjoying that half! 💕🍩

Last day of spirit week- and I’m happy to say we have survived 100 days of school! We have been in person since mid August with our hybrid kiddos four days a week (and virtual Wednesdays) and teaching virtually 5 days a week for 100 DAYS!!!!!!
And due to the snow had to combine ridiculous day and the 100 day into one. I just stuck with celebrating 💯.

About time I remembered a feet up Friday and what a week it was- spirit week, 100th day of school, and a snow day all in the same week.
Thankful for the weekend and the snow coming to have some time to just put my feet up.

💥 I decided to restart my nine week program with an amazing group of busy mamas.
💥I committed to controlling the things in life I can actually control right now.
💥I committed to tracking my nutrition everyday EVEN if it wasn’t perfect (and believe me it wasn’t) 🤦🏽♀️
💥I decided to actually listen to and follow the program including the two rest days a week and the evening stretches.
In three weeks:
💥I lost six inches including 1.5” from my belly and 1.5” from my “mom belly” 😂
💥I am down 3lbs
💥I feel more confident in my skin.

My white blood cell counts are lower than they have ever been- and yet ten plus years of dealing with these crazy blood counts and I still have zero answers.
I have a teleheath visit with the hematologist tomorrow so we will see what he has to say. In the meantime I’ll just be over living life and trying to stay healthy.
I may or may not have ate almost that whole bag of hidden candy today...
And this is mostly true except no 🐅 or 🥤- change mine to Netflix and caffeine 😂
With kindness month coming up (and who doesn’t need a little more kindness in today’s world) wanted to share one of my favorites! Such a cute story from scholastic. 🖍🦄🌈
Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring or super complicated (I mean have you seen my why I don’t cook video on IG TV 😂😂😂)
These air fryer bacon wrapped chicken tenders from were amazing!
1lb chicken tenderloins
1 package of turkey bacon
Olive oil spray
1- sprinkle chicken with garlic powder and salt, then wrap each tenderloin with 1 slice of bacon
2- spray with olive oil and cook in air fryer at 370 for 10 minutes
3- flip then cook at 390 for 8-10 more minutes
4- place half slice of cheese on top and leave in air fryer (with it turned off)
5- top with 1-2T of 🥑 and enjoy!
A “friend” of mine is definitely guilty of this 😂😂
