We are so excited to announce our annual Spirit Award winner Mrs. Melissa Kitt. Mrs. Kitt is a such an asset to our Primrose family. She takes immense pride in her classroom and caring for our school’s littlest learners. When she’s not attending to their needs, you can find her creating beautiful works of art or reading them a new book. Mrs. Kitt is not only a leader in the classroom but throughout the school. She is always willing to train and mentor her fellow coworkers and she leads by example. We are so grateful to have her at Primrose. "Hello! We are Ekaterina, Alex, Ksenia, and Nickolas Feshchanka. We are honored to be considered as the family of the month of August.
Our family is very active and adventurous. We love to travel a lot and explore outdoor activities. During the wintertime we like to ski, in the fall and spring we explore hiking trails and during the summer we enjoy the beach and the ocean. We also enjoy family nights at home when we watch movies together, play games, cook together, and meet our friends.
We cannot say enough about Primrose. Primrose was a second home for our older daughter Ksenia who did their Pre-K and kindergarten. She grew and learned so much there. Now she is starting middle school this year. When it came to picking up the daycare for our little son, we did not even doubt that we were going to choose Primrose. Even though he has a very rough time in the mornings when we drop him, we know that he would be happy and loved during the day. We know that our amazing teachers find the techniques to calm him and make him comfortable during the day so he can enjoy all the activities.
We are so happy to be part of the Primrose family! Thank you for everything!"

Happy First Day of School! We had an amazing day yesterday welcoming all of our new and old friends to the 2023-2024 school year. We spent the day getting to know each other, learning new things, and enjoying our new classrooms. We are so excited to see all of our friends learn and grow throughout the year. Welcome, welcome, welcome!

We would like to wish a happy 10-year anniversary to the amazing Staci Londy. Staci started her Primrose journey at our sister school, the Primrose School of Midlothian at Waterford, where she worked and trained in PreK. She transferred over to Swift Creek where she taught in our Preschool, Pre-K, and is now our Curriculum Coach. Staci is always shining bright and helping our team be the best they can be. Thank you for all you do and your dedication to our Primrose family!

On Friday we trained with the best and got our school squeaky clean for the start of our new school year. We are so excited to see how much our little friends here at Primrose grow and learn this year.

Thank you Talewise for an amazing science filled story time yesterday. There were things floating in the air, clouds in bottles and eggs that didn’t break. Thank you Ms. Tiffany for a fun filled time.

Our Anthem LemonAid stand was a success last week! Our students loved lending a helping hand and helping The Children’s Hospital of Richmond put the squeeze on cancer. Thank you to all of our families that donated. 🍋💕😊

We want to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to our own Harleigh Stephenson for completing and earning her Child Development Associates (CDA). Harleigh we are so proud of you for completing the course load and projects along with balancing a full time teaching job and motherhood all with grace, style, and a smile!

Keep your eyes peeled to see some other superstars from our very first Primrose Swift Creek and Waterford CDA cohort group as they finish out the program. We are so proud of everyone who has taken on this challenge!

We had a magical start to our fun-filled Tuesday. Thank you Mickey’s Magic Show for a day filled with endless scarves, expanding wands, and a cute fuzzy bunny!

Today our preschoolers went on a bear hunt with our Primrose friend Benjamin Bear and had so much fun. What a great way to end an exciting week.

Our little friends in Early Preschool had so much fun in science and sensory center. They explored a panda habitat with green rice, bamboo, pandas and spoons! We love engaging through imaginative play.

"Hello! We are the Dan, Sam, and Carter Parsons. We are so honored to be considered as the July family of the month!
We are originally from West Virginia and spend as much time as we can visiting our family and friends back home. When we aren’t traveling there, we like to spend time playing outside, going to zoos and parks, Friday night pizza and movies, and playing baseball and basketball. We love the beach, singing and dancing, and spending time with friends.
We cannot say enough about Primrose. Leaving your baby in the hands of someone you don’t know can be scary, but we knew from the very start that we could not be putting Carter in better hands. Not only has he grown so much, but we also know that he is loved. Between his amazing teachers, the wonderful front office staff, the kitchen staff, and his best friend Ms. Londy, we could not be more thankful for the love and care that our boy has received over the last four years. Carter genuinely loves going to school and that is the sign of an amazing school and teacher. Being far away from your family can be hard, but not when you know that you are part of a family as special as the one you get to be a part of with Primrose Swift Creek. "

Yesterday our older explorers got to experience the natural wonders at Pocahontas State Park. Thank you to the amazing rangers for teaching our friends all about the watershed and all the creatures big and small that call it home!

We think our teachers are a scoop above the rest. Thank you for all you all do to make our school amazing.

We had a lot of laughs and learned all about the wonderful world of shells at the nature show today. Thank Uncle Henry and Leila for sharing your knowledge with us.

Our Older Explorers had a blast at the ball field today. They made so many fun memories from the interactions with the team to the wonderful staff, there was never a dull moment. Thank you Tri-City Chili Peppers ball team for having us and CONGRATULATIONS on your win.

We ended our first week of summer camp with a fun filled Friday and celebrated with Kona Ice! What a great start to an amazing summer.

"We are so thrilled to be selected as the family of the month! We absolutely love our Primrose family. The amazing teachers and staff have made us feel right at home after Alex, James, and I moved from California to Virginia two years ago. We started to look into childcare options for James and immediately knew Primrose was the right choice for us. When we had our second child, Lily, this past November, we had no hesitation in enrolling her as well! James is the best big brother and loves making Lily laugh by making silly animal sounds. Lily adores watching James play with his monster truck and race car toys. In our spare time, we love hanging out with our neighborhood friends and exploring all that Virginia has to offer. You can usually find us at a splash pad, golf course, or local brewery. We certainly miss our family back in California, but everyone at Primrose has quickly given us a sense of community we were so hoping to build when we moved here. We couldn’t ask for more!"

Today was our first day of summer camp. Our friends had so much fun enjoying the beautiful weather, making new friends and creating memories during all their fun activities. What a great way to start off the week. 😊🌴🌊☀️

Today marked the end to another school year filled with fun, friends and accomplishments. To finish it off we celebrated their hard work with some fun music, bubbles and an ice cold popsicle. We hope everyone had a wonderful year and now let the fun in the sun begin.

Our Pre-K friends are continuing their alphabet countdown to summer. Today they celebrated with the letter "V" for volcano day! The pre-kindergarteners created their own volcano using Styrofoam bowls and plates. Then, they added baking soda, vinegar, glitter, and food coloring to make it erupt. Their reactions were priceless.

We would like to congratulate Ms. Spenser Bettinger as she is our June/July Apple of our Eye. Ms. Bettinger greets her families with a smile every morning and always has a fun tidbit to share about the day in the afternoon. She is a dedicated member of our team and leads by example. Her classroom is always fun and engaging and she is not afraid to get a little messy. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Bettinger.

Our Preschoolers are enjoying learning all about plants this week. Today they colored and identified the parts of a flower and worked as team to put the parts of a plant in the correct order. They also created their own flower using four different mediums. Our students are unbeleafable!

Our preschool friends enjoyed the beautiful weather today. They drew with chalk, danced in bubbles and played on the play set with friends. What a great way to end a fun filled week.

Thank you to all the Moms, Aunts, Grandmothers, and special loved ones who celebrated our Muffins in the Morning event with us! We hope you enjoyed your time this morning and some of the delicious food as well.

Today we treated our remarkable teachers to lunch from Sergio's. They had some delicious pizza, fresh salad, and a refreshing drink to re-energize them for the afternoon. Thank you for all your hard work.

Our classrooms run on love, laughter, and a lot of Starbucks. We love our teachers a whole latte and had iced coffee, tea, cupcakes, and bento boxes for them. We hope they enjoyed their treats and know how much they are appreciated!

It’s not “one run and done”. We do “cartwheels” for our staff all year long. We can’t wait to have so much family fun with everyone this summer and fall.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! This week (and every week) we are on “Target” with our excellent teachers and staff. We are so grateful to have our amazing team and want to say thank you for making our school a wonderful place to learn and grow!

Our kindergarten friends are counting down to summer with the ABC’s. “G” is for game day. Our friends enjoyed playing all the different games their friends brought in to share. What a great way to end the week.

"Hi everyone, we are the Diyaolu family! What an honor to have been chosen as the family of the month! Pictured with us are our two beautiful girls, Tami and Tiwa, who absolutely love Primrose and its teachers 😊! Our family loves to travel and explore new countries, and we are always looking for opportunities to have new adventures together. Our girls love listening to music, and singing and enjoy learning new dances. They also enjoy playing soccer, riding their bicycles, and we all love a good beach trip and are always up for a good laugh! We recently moved to Virginia from Colorado, and I have to say Primrose has been a significant part of the ease with which our girls transitioned and for that we are so grateful. Tiwa is always in a hurry to get to class every morning and loves being greeted at the door with lots of hugs and smiles, and while Tami has transitioned out she asks daily to give her previous teachers big hugs and always makes a stop at the office to get some love from Joy, Nicole, Staci, and all the amazing admins. This is a testament to the love and care she was shown during her stay. What we love most about Primrose is how personal and genuine they are with our kids. We always know they are in good hands! It’s been amazing being a part of the Primrose family, and we are very excited to continue to see our kids blossom and grow into their own!"

Our friends in Pre-K are counting down to summer with the ABCs. Today they brought in their favorite stuffed animal to share. They loved getting to snuggle with their favorite fuzzy friends throughout the day.

WOW! Our teachers gave us a super surprise today. Thank you for showering us with so much love, smiling faces, and delicious food. We couldn’t ask for a better team of people to work at our school. Happy Administrators Day!
