This month at The Pillars has been filled with enriching outdoor time for our students. With each blade of grass they touch and every cloud they chase, they're not just playing – they're learning. They're learning about the world around them, about teamwork and friendship, about the beauty of nature and the wonders of imagination. Through outdoor play, they're developing their physical abilities, honing their problem-solving skills, and nurturing their creativity. It's not just fun; it's fundamental to their growth and development! 🛝🌳✨

Compassion International – Spotlight on Kelvin

The Pillars proudly sponsors several children through Compassion International, the leader in holistic child development. Our Mission Club students, or after school program, engage with their sponsored child through emails, cards, and letters, learning about their lives and praying daily for them. Students also research their sponsored child’s region, resources, and customs to better understand the sponsored child’s day-to-day life.

Since 2021, we've sponsored 10-year-old Kelvin from Wairakei, Tanzania. Kelvin enjoys singing, playing sports, and reading, while helping his family with chores like carrying water and cleaning. Through our sponsorship, Kelvin receives Bible teachings, health screenings, hygiene training, supplemental food, vaccinations, educational field trips, and vocational training. Our students practice our core values of Development, Integrity, Compassion, and Faith, making a real difference in Kelvin's life and their own.

💜FOUNDATIONS CONFERENCE 💜 This week, we held our 2024 Foundations Conference in San Antonio and DFW! At The Pillars, we are committed to continuous education and growth at every level of our organization. The Pillars Foundations Conferences are a time for fellowship and continuing education for our teachers. We had a wonderful day of learning and gained valuable insight on how to be even better for our students and families! Thank you to everyone who made the 2024 Foundations Conference a success!

Exploring colors and creativity at The Pillars - Bandera today! Our students engaged their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination by matching watercolors to those on their paper. Through this hands-on activity, they're not only enhancing color recognition but also grasping the concept of color mixing to create new shades. 🎨✨

Relishing in the sweet memories of our unforgettable Muffins with Mom event! 🧁Our Pillars moms joined us for a morning filled with laughter, love, and of course, delicious muffins.
