Let’s go for the gold Sharks!!

Keep the torch of learning lit by encouraging reading this summer! You and your preK-5 children are invited to join Team Chesterfield and stay connected to learning by taking part in Going For Gold 2020, a summer learning challenge.

Students compete individually and as a member of one of five Chesterfield County Public Schools teams. These teams represent the values of the Olympics: The joy of effort, balance, the pursuit of excellence, fair play and respecting others. This will be an exciting event for our elementary readers!

Students will have access to myON through their virtual backpack accessed through the dashboard. This access includes an engaging collection of more than 6,000 digital books. As students read books, the time spent and books completed will be tracked and count towards both individual and team scores. In addition, students have an opportunity to earn points by participating in virtual and in-person activities, learning about the Olympics and reading.

Even though the 2020 Olympic Summer Games have been postponed, we hope you find our version just as exciting! Join us in investing in your children’s literacy success by getting your myON Going For Gold 2020 Toolkit today! For more information and Going For Gold 2020 Toolkit, visit:
