We believe an early college education could change the course of your future. Now enrolling 9th graders for the 2017-18 school year! Our vision is to build a school environment where students create and achieve their own prescription for college and career success; where students learn and apply 21st century skills in all of their educational endeavors; and where students are able to grow and develop into moral, successful, and contributing members of their communities.

We partner with Southwest Tennessee Community College and local industry so that students can take college classes that relate to real-world jobs while in high school, all for free. Students earn an Associate Degree, or up to 60 transferable college credits, in just 4 years of high school. They graduate ready for a specialized, middle-class job, or can easily continue for 2 more years at a college/university and earn a Bachelor’s Degree that may lead to skilled, pre-management jobs.

Mission: SECHS exists to enable students to earn a college degree or industry certification in a career field of their choice and transition into the workplace with the preparation and skills necessary to enjoy a successful career and a productive life.

We love our teachers!! (And staff!!)
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our amazing, hard-working crew!!!

Each week we will introduce a student or facilitator that has been doing awesome things around our school or simply deserves a shout-out!

“My name is Jazlyn Ward and I am in the 11th grade at SECHS. I love being at this school simply because I can take college courses that are offered to me through our school, and I am exposed to a true college experience.”

We are proud of Jazlyn and we look forward to seeing the great things she will accomplish while at SECHS and after. Keep striving Jazlyn! 📚

School is in session 📚Please dress warm and be safe on the roads⛄️❄️

Meet Ke’Nora Adams, Class of 2023! Each of our scholars will leave with an associates degree, meaning they leave high school ahead of many others their age. Here at SECHS, we want to provide students like Ke’Nora and others with the proper resources and skills to reach their fullest potential and change their lives. How awesome is that? 😊 Here’s to the start of a great week! Happy Monday from us at Southwest Early College High!

We are so excited to announce our new interim Principal, Mr. Jeremiah Frazier!

Mr. Frazier has served tirelessly as an instructional facilitator for math and science and as building testing coordinator at SECHS this year. He has developed strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and our college partner, Southwest Tennessee Community College-Union Campus.

Prior to SECHS, Mr. Frazier served the KIPP Memphis Region as an Interim School Leader, Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, KTC Advisor and Math Teacher. Mr. Frazier got his start in education with Shelby County Schools (formerly Memphis City Schools). Education is his second career that followed his first career in Information Technology. As a second-generation educator, he continues to be inspired by the part of the mission that puts students on a path to college and beyond.

Each month our Admin team likes to award a golden apple to a staff member that shows exceptional team work and demonstrates our core values!
This month the Golden Apple went to Mr. Moore!!
Mr. Moore went above and beyond demonstrating our values of teamwork and support this past month!!
He has a solution to every problem before coming and asking for guidance and support from the admin team!
Congratulations once again to Mr. Moore!!
