Don’t forget to stop by the Children’s Marketplace for a wide selection of handmade stationery, jewelry, baked goods, duct tape creations, and more. It has developed into a wonderful outlet for these young entrepreneurs’ creativity.

Looking for some preparation for the September 10 ACT? Bethany Henry will be holding a prep class at Central Baptist School, 5470 Raleigh LaGrange, beginning August 10. The class will meet from 4 to 6 for 5 consecutive Wednesday afternoons (August 10—September 7). This is a total of ten hours of class time. The class will focus on strategies for success on the ACT, covering Academic content, Calming of nerves, and Time Management skills. All four subtests will be explored and practiced. Mrs. Henry has been teaching ACT prep classes for ten years and has many students raise their scores—some by as much as 7 points. The class will cost $110, which includes a $30 textbook and a three-ring binder of additional materials. Register by August 1st for a $10 discount. Fees are transferrable but non-refundable. For best results, register for the September test by August 5 at .

Looking for an English class for your high school juniors or seniors that will prepare them for the English portion of the ACT, make them strong writers in college, strengthen their vocabularies, and familiarize them with America's great literary heritage. I will be teaching one at Bellevue Baptist Church on Tuesdays at 12:10 starting August 9, and I'd love to have them! If you want to round it out with a strong U.S. History class, I will be teaching that too, immediately after the English class.
