IC Alumna Spotlight #gottaloveanICgirl
Toni Woods
Hey ladies, Shelly Potter class of 2004 needs prayers! If you are able to help out at all please click the link below.
Does anyone know how I could access annuals from the 70s? Or does anyone have there’s that would be willing to send me some pictures of a particular person? Thanks in advance for your help!

There is a meeting next Sunday, June 7 at 4:00 pm at 1753 York Avenue concerning the closing of ICHS. The topic is how to reverse the diocese's decision to close the school. Will you come and bring some of your friends or classmates?

High School Alumnae who would love to join a virtual chat with the c/o 2003, please inbox me or one of our beloved sisters. We are all disheartened with the news of the school's closing. We plan to chat on Saturday @ 3 PM.
Class of 1974. Did you know Sheila Peace died? 😭. Tried to post her obituary but unable to post picture. All it said was “Sheila A. Peace age 62 died November 17th. E. H. Ford Mortuary. 345-9558”. No mention of service. I assume her. Can’t imagine very many 62 year old Memphians named Sheila Peace.
Hey Everyone! Its Blanche Williams, from the Crew of '82, Sophomore President, Best Senior. Does anyone that I went to school with live in Nashville, TN?
Next Sunday! One week from today! It will be IC Alum night at Room In The Inn. Nothing better than feeding these special guests. I will post all the details tomorrow and RITI can always use McDonalds gift cards for breakfast or cash donations for all day bus passes! More tomorrow! Let us know if you would like to bring a dish or help with the setup, hospitality, or clean up early Monday morning.
Hello! I am a 1992 graduate. Several of my former classmates are interested in doing a mini informal 25th class reunion. Can you give me any info on possibly having something small like what was just recently posted for c/o 2007? I have moved out of Mphs and haven't been back to ICHS since my graduation day. Would love to walk those halls again and see how it's changed!! Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thank you! PS- Miss Kays looks GREAT!!! 💕

Alumni from all classes grade school and high school

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Memphis

We invite you to join us at 6:30 this evening for our parish school's annual May Crowning Ceremony. This year's ceremony will be held in our courtyard and streamed live through the Immaculate Conception Cathedral School page. Click this link for a worship aid:

We are very proud of our ICCS Middle School alumni Nadim Khouzam and Amir Khouzam who won the 2020-2021 Christian Brothers High School elections.

Nadim is the President of the Brothers Leadership Committee (BLC) and Amir is the Vice-President.

Our alumni lead by service, and we trust that they will continue to serve their high school with faithfulness and zeal.

Congratulations Nadim and Amir!

We would love for our alumni to join us for our all-campus Mass that will be live-streamed from IC Cathedral tomorrow at 8:30am. We'll see you on our school page!

The Church has some 49 Masses and Prayers for Various Needs and Occasions including a Mass in Time of War and Civil Disturbance, a Mass in Time of Earthquake, and a Mass After the Harvest. There was, however, no Mass in Time of Pandemic - until this week. The Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued prayers and readings for a new Mass in Time of Pandemic. We will offer this Mass tomorrow when we live-stream the All School Mass at 8:30am on Facebook/ICCSMemphis. The Collect (Opening Prayer) of this Mass should be added to our daily prayers:

Almighty and eternal God,
our refuge in every danger,
to whom we turn in our distress;
in faith we pray
look with compassion on the afflicted,
give eternal rest to the dead, comfort to mourners,
healing to the sick, peace to the dying,
strength to healthcare workers, wisdom to our leaders
and the courage to reach out to all in love,
so that together we may give glory to your holy name.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

We will open the Cathedral for private prayer at 12 Noon.
A priest will be available for Confessions from 3:30pm until 4:30pm. Please observe social distancing during your time in the Cathedral. In particular, penitents waiting for confession are asked to wait at least 6 feet apart. Lines of blue tape have been placed on the floor of the Cathedral to help you remember to keep your distance.
The Cathedral will be closed at 6:00pm today.

Today, as the Pope calls for a worldwide rosary at 3pm, we thought it appropriate to share on the Alumni page a photo of the unique rosaries the ICHS Class of 1964 had specially made one year for graduating seniors. It was a beautiful gesture, much appreciated by our girls and a lovely way to connect IC sisters from different generations. Is there a class out there that would like to sponsor rosaries for our Class of 2020? 02/25/2020

Obituary for Cara Walton at E. H. Ford Mortuary

Our hearts are broken to share that Cara Walton, a 2016 ICCS graduate, has left us too soon. Cara was a senior at Alabama State University, where she was studying criminal justice. Just as when she graced our campus, she was an excellent student, respected and loved by her classmates and instructors. Please join us as we pray for God's peace for her parents, friends, and classmates. We love you Cara and will always be proud you were an "IC girl." Cara J. Walton transitioned this life Feb. 14, 2020. Cara was a graduating senior at Alabama State University. Cara loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed expressing her creativity with makeup and wigs. Caras favorite phrase was First of All... She lived her BEST LIFE everyday....

We are sad to share that Amanda "Mandy" Dower Gossett, Class of 1991, has passed away. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Cathedral at 3 pm on Thursday, February 13th, with a visitation at 2 pm.

The family asks for your love and prayers. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A treasured tradition, ICCS's Senior Pinning Ceremony was held yesterday in the Cathedral. The Senior Class pin signifies the class' upcoming transition from high school students to alumnae. Each girl was pinned by a family member, friend or ICCS faculty member who is an ICCS alumna. Here the soon-to-be graduates join the alumnae after the ceremony.

We were so happy to welcome back the Class of 1969 for their 50th reunion on Saturday. After attending Mass in the Cathedral, the classmates enjoyed a tour of the high school and dinner in Marian Hall.

We are excited to announce ICCS's new partnership with Christian Brothers University that will benefit our High School and Middle School students. #THEICCSADVANTAGE

Congratulations to rising freshman Dayana Torres. Dayana will continue her education at ICCS High School next fall and was this year's recipient of the Alumni Scholarship, made possible through generous alumnae.

ICCS's Baccalaureate Mass for the Upper School Class of 2019 was held last evening in the Cathedral. In just a few hours, these young women will join the ranks of ICCS alumnae.

Our 8th-graders arrived safely in St. Louis and are enjoying the sites. Here they are at the Basilca and at Busch Stadium.

Wishing safe travels to our 8th-graders headed to St. Louis for their class trip.

We are so proud of Colonel Dana Sampietro of the Memphis Police Department (L), ICHS Class of 1985. Thank you, Dana, for your service to our city. This is what IC Girls can do!

In honor of Women's History Month, the Memphis Police Department would like to highlight the dedicated women of the MPD.

Recognizing the importance of hiring women to serve our community, the Memphis Police Department is above the national average with a makeup of almost 17% females. In a profession that is known to be led by predominantly male, women of Memphis continue to step up!

These ladies definitely know how to represent by being the No. 1 in command at three of MPD police stations. Colonel Sampietro (Crump Station), Colonel Burnett (Airways), and Colonel Bullock (North Main) continuously set a great example of what it means to be the Best in Blue.

Thank you, Colonels, for your leadership and service!
