It has been a pleasure to serve as the PTO President. However, I will resign due to pursuing graduate studies. There will be an election held for all open positions on Thursday, September 15 @ 5:00 pm.

*Welcome and Introduction of PTO Board Members and Volunteers.

*Discussed the Fall 2015 Fundraiser
- The Team is working diligently to close out the fundraiser.
- There were issues with the company as well as obstacles on the side of the PTO to
get large orders correctly filled.
- We will not be using popcorn and cookie dough for our Fall 2016 fundraiser.

*Parents were asked for input on new fundraiser ideas.

*Discussed upcoming Spring 2016 events.
- Will forward information as soon as it’s available.
- Volunteer Appreciation Brunch in the main hallway March 10, 2016 from 11am -1pm.

*Discussed ways to make the pickup and drop off process safer.
---Suggestions:
- Use more Caution Cones.
- Ask Fathers to volunteer to help with crowd control.
- Well placed and clear signage.
- Sending parents a new memo explaining the process of pickup and drop off.
- Issuing pending suspensions to those children whose parents habitually break the
order of pickup and drop off.
- More Staff presence during the times of pickup and drop off.
- Request more MPD presence.

Proctors are needed for the upcoming TN Ready testing in March. Please stop by the school office or call Ms. Keys @ (901) 416-7200 for more information.

I received a letter and from the Sales Company President and shipping acknowledgement that cookie dough will be delivered to Belle Forest Community School tomorrow. Each Scholar that has sold cookie dough will come home with a letter this afternoon.

Create a paper trail by helping your Scholar's class to win a pizza party. The class who brings in the most reams paper for grades k-2 & 3-5 will win pizza, chips, drink & cupcake party. All copy paper received, stays with your Scholar's grade level. Copy paper drive in now underway and it closes by the end of day 11/24/2015. We will notify winners information after Thanksgiving holiday.

Belle Forest Scholars are excited about our PTO sponsored Copy Paper Drive 11/4 thru 11/24/2015! Each Scholar's class has an opportunity to compete to see who brings in the most reams of paper. There will be (1) winning classroom chosen from grade levels k-2 & 3-5. The (2) winning classrooms will receive pizza party, including pizza, chips, juice & cupcakes!

All copy paper received will be kept on grade level.

Please add the scholars name, teachers name & grade on copy paper.
