"Have the balls" (to make a difference). One of my lady friends from work saw a frantic and overheated dog in a car last night. She called a policeman to help her find the owner of the car. The owner was called out of a meeting (in disgrace) to take care of her dog. My sweet dog loving friend was then screamed at and cussed out by the dog/car owner!!!! Have the balls ya'll,,,to take charge as Susan Lewis did!!!

Here is an itinerary of this years event:

- Our Foster Dog + Supply Drive -
Our foster dog, Shadow, is currently available for adoption through @adoptmas ! This Valentine’s Day Shadow will also be making a special appearance on @tinder to help him find is !

In honor of having Shadow join us we will be holding a Supply Drive for Memphis Animal Services. Your donations of “Pup-Peroni” dog treats will count as 3 extra tickets into the raffle, and then be taken to Memphis Animal Services!

- The kissing Booth -
This year we will be having a raffle and selling tickets as “Tickets to the kissing booth”.

You will get one free entry by attending the event, although you can buy extra tickets for $1 each, and/or donate to the Supply Drive for 3 extra tickets per bag of “Pup-Peroni”.

The raffle prize is a super special Valentines Day Doghouse School Collectable! 🏆

Ya boi FINALLY hit da BIG 2-1!!! So you already know we had to get a lil turnt up @ da Dawghouse hehe my girl Stella challenged me to a good ole game of beer pong lolz I won obvz but she sure did give me a run for my money!!

Den my favorite bus driver took me on a lil joy ride to get my FAVORITE snack (a pupcup) & we jammed to mah fav tunes so basically had da best birfday eva with all my best fwiends!! Can’t wait to see what wild adventures 21 brings👀🎊🎉

Twenty years ago today, we lost so many beautiful souls to tragedy. While this day brings a great heaviness to our hearts, it is a reminder on how short life can be, and how blessed we are to be here. There are no words to truly explain the heartache that is felt by so many people today. We hope that these pictures bring out some smiles, and we will continue to spread love and positivity to you, your fur babies, and whoever comes across us along our journey.

Our Story

The Doghouse Memphis was created out of an old video game shop. Our pack decided to throw the old, yellow paint to the boneyard and give Summer Ave (the same street the very first Holiday Inn opened) a fresh look. We took what used to be a store full of DVD’s and games and flipped it into a dog’s dream house. This joint is not only a place for our breed to let loose and embrace their creativity, it’s a space we’ve created to feel like home.

The Doghouse is run by owner Peter Efird—a retired actor from Atlanta, GA who decided to form an unshakable business concept at the age of 8 years old. His goal? To provide specialized care and unique experiences for all pupils at the school.
